The iBasso DC05 really brings the 7Hz Timeless to shine. Just about perfect and not too bright sounding. Detailed and just a little bit warm.
lol yeah I remember you mentioned about it a while back but I think it's the distant vocal that killed it for me. (also verified by you haha)

I'm trying to look for the most intimate female vocal presentation LOL.

Can someone link a usb c to lightening adapter that would make my Audeze cipher cable work on an android phone? Thanks!
TBH I'd be surprised if that would be an appropriate option or outcome.
My understanding is that the Cipher cable uses an Apple H1 chip in connecting and I'd be really surprised if any of the cable functionality could be used - eg buttons, volume or dsp. Audeze themselves indicated they weren't producing a USB version of the cable.
Anker apparently produced a connector some years ago, but it had no functionality and was 'hot' in volume control ie you may as well have used a 3.5mm cable. Most people ditched them pretty quickly, lest they damage their sines/isines. I suspect anything you find will run the same risk.

The Zorloo Ztella MQA version is a good shout. You will find most MQA rendering dongles are delta sigma ESS chips. The Ztella has that ESS sound signature. It's clean, crisp and renders excellent micro details. Not too expensive either. The Dragonfly Black is also a great dongle. I have both and float between them; however, I am listening to the Cayin RU6 a lot at the moment - loving the sound signature of the R2R dac. It's so good, I don't mind the fact it doesn't render the final 2 MQA unfolds from Audirvana or UAPP.

Now that 4.4 mm balanced is pretty much standard on all the new dongles.

What's a good budget balanced cable?

I was thinking to get the Meze 3.5 mm to 4.4 mm balanced cable, is that too cheap or its ok?

I have D5200, which is the same system as most Focal and Hifiman headphones. (Dual 3.5 mm jack)

Also is it a noticeable difference on D5200? (Or any easy to drive headphone)

Oh quick question regarding the cable, it says silver plated.

Does that mean it's just oxygen free copper dipped in silver coating? So it's technically a copper cable?

I'm asking because I actually prefer copper cable lol. Thanks!

Audiotechnica has a new dac/amp dongle:
https://www.audio-technica.co.jp/product/AT-HA30USB

Specs look weak sauce though:
Maximum output level: 13mW + 13mW (32Ω)
Actually I looked it up, it was an old discontinued product. First available in 2013. Review seems good though.

https://www.amazon.co.jp/-/en/AT-HA...d=1646621174&sprefix=at-ha30usb,aps,81&sr=8-1

From the spec 24bit/96khz I think it's UAC1 compliance. Probably was done so you could use it with gaming console. DAC chip was not mentioned.

Interesting...... lol.

Wow thanks for the info.

Haha in this audio hobby, 2013 items are considered a relic worthy to be showcased in a museum (just kiddin).

But truly, this audio hobby moves so fast that what came out 3 months ago can be obsolete as of today. I mean there are some stuff that I consider as classics and old is gold, but a lot of audio gear like IEMs of yesteryears, quite a few are not competitive with today's releases.
