Hi, Is vsonic gr07 considered an upgrade from audeo pfe 012 with gray filter? Or do they mostly sound the same? If it is, what would you recommend? I'm looking for something balanced to analytical. Perhaps around 200$ or less? Thanks.

nothing really. I just want something that is more capable in treble and mids / balance. Or just something better than pfe. that doesn't cost too much.

The GR07 don't have bright treble its more stage monitor like but its still got sparkle and the mids are very smooth and detailed.  Like I suggest to a lot of people that are looking for a balanced sound the R-50 is great.  Very detailed mids and highs that are balanced with good punchy bass thats not bloated and a cohesive, large and airy soundstage.  The cost is exactly $119.99 shipped and thats a bargain for the sound quality you get, they also fit great and aren't uncomfortable at all.

Ill also recommend the R50. I have the GR01 which is said to sound pretty much identical to the R50. I picked the GR01 over it for a few reasons other than sound, but for $120 they are a steal.
