Hello All.

So ive had my M50's combo'd with my Ibasso Cobra D10 for some time now. I am very happy with them, but am looking to add to my collections. I love the sound of these cans, especially the bass. I listen to all types of music but primarily Metal, DNB, Dubstep, and PSY Trance.

I was considereing the Beyerdynamic DT990 600 ohm but am concerned that the D10 would not be enough to drive these to my needs, anyone have any advice here? is it enough?

Also how do the Denon D2000's compare to the DT990?

Also any other recommendations for cans would be appreciated. Im just looking for the next "step up" in quality over the m50's.

Thanks all!

A lot of the cans listed only be considered side-grades at best, and the sound signature is all over the place.

To OP, if you enjoy m50's sound signature, I would recommend the PS500, a lot of people consider them to be the m60s.

Hmm, as much as id love the DT990 600 ohms, Upon research i discovered My D10 will not be able to power them. I was looking at the Little Dot MkIII and using my D10 as a DAC for the combo... Ive always wanted to try tube amps and this seems like the perfect starter, but that gets a bit expensive...

Does anyone have an opinion of how much better the DT990 600 ohms are than the Denon D2000's?

It seems my amp should power the Denon's fine, but is the DT990's worth the extra cash?
