Hi! Long time reader here looking for a new pair of headphones.
Price: $500 (or slightly higher)
Music: Anything and Everything! (Electronic, Kpop, Dubstep, Rock, Classical, Rap, etc.)

Current Headphones: Sennheiser HD-595. I loved how light and comfortable these were, and I also liked how these sounded with ballads/vocals in Kpop. However, unsurprisingly, I found the bass on these to be rather lacking.
Amp/DAC: O2/ODAC combo (After spending Black Friday/Cyber Monday looking the the deals thread, I ended up hesitating too much and missing most deals - except for this)
Up until yesterday, I was so certain I wanted to buy a HiFiMan HE-400 for dorm use and a white V-moda M80 for portable use, but then my brain decided that it would be a great idea to fall asleep right before the Amazon lightning deal
. Now that the combined price of them is back up to $600, I'm not sure.
Oh, I am also a college student. The best case scenario would be to buy a single pair of headphones that pairs well the the O2/ODAC for home use AND works well by itself as portable cans (from a smartphone/Macbook Pro). Considering how unlikely this is, I would prefer to be able to have one for each, if possible, within my price range (and have at least the home-use pair to be significantly better than the HD595).
