Do you have any of the other Sennheisers /similar level closed backs to which to compare? As you say, though another closed back, Liric 2 is a $2k USD headphone, it ought to be much better technically.

I'm curious how it compares to the 660S2, I love that one.

Well, I made a mistake in placing my order and so now I have not one but two incoming.

Other headphones in my stable at the moment: HE1000 Stealth, HD 6XX KISS modded, Denon D9200, and Beyerdynamic DT 150 with EDT 100T pads.

They are marked as in stock by Sennheiser in my country so hopefully I'll be able to provide impressions for them soon...

It's hard to believe, but If 620S has a more pronounced, bigger, boulder bass than 660S2..then I am ordering a pair as my 11th pair of Sennheiser headphones.

I grabbed a Hart audio cable so I can try out the balanced of the 620S. I'm going to try it with the Midgard XLR to get the Halo effect! It works pretty well with DD headphones typically.

Off-topic, but can you say more about your experience with the Midgard?

I know the Headphone Show was testing the Halo stuff when the unit they were testing broke, and they were unable to continue getting results with different headphones, lol.

Which incidentally killed my interest in the product ... but also, still kinda interested.

I think that's pretty much a given. See image from 1st page. HD 600 and 660S2 have similar bass capabilities.

I don't have the 660s2 to compare it. I only tried the 660s2 briefly right before it came out.
