Last Thursday, a huge car hit my little car at 70mph, and flattened its front end. Following surgery, I’ve now had the chance to read all pages in this thread, and pre ordered a pair on Amazon UK. I’m still in hospital, got a long recovery ahead, but the HD 620s will arrive on my birthday.
I’ll have hours of time to listen to these and am really looking forward to enjoying the HD 620s.

That sounds horrendous and painful and so glad you are ok- hope you have family and/or friends also around to support you also in this time. It’s a reminder to the rest of us of the transience and fragility of this life, so important to cherish it and those we love. Get well soon, hope you find music a comfort during your recovery.
Such a good frequency response except for the peak on 3kHz, but it’s a shame that such a bad design. Would like to have a more reliable headband without adhesive as in hd600 or beyer dt 700/900 pro x and a standard non proprietary cable 3.5mm so that you can connect v-moda boom pro. Hopefully in the future they will announce hd 620 s2 with improved design.

There's nothing proprietary about the HD 620S cable. Anyone can make a cable for it. It is not a licensed intellectual property. Aftermarket cables for this type of headphone I've been available for well over 10 years.
The headband may prove to be one of our most reliable ever thanks to the metal core strap.
We hope you get to actually hear one and try it out for yourself.

I meant the lock connector. I have Philips Fidelio X2HR with v-moda boom pro which I can easily connect thanks to the standard 3.5mm connector. I had hoped to update them in the near future and was very interested in the hd 620 s until I learned that they used a lock connector with which I could not use my microphone.

Yeah BH Audio wasn't kidding when they said they had them in stock and ready to ship. Ordered mine Wednesday and it shipped Thursday and I got it this morning.
Agreed, got my 620 on Friday too and have been listening to it all morning this morning. Sounds incredible on my V8 OTL amp. Bass is a bit wooly out of the box but break in might alleviate that. Too early to give any real impressions other than I'm enjoying them and immediately thought they were an excellent purchase. I'll keep putting the hours on them and run them through my usual amp rotation, but i know at minimum my first setup sounds great with them (Holo Audio Cyan PCM dac and Wells Audio V8 OTL amp). After a few days I'll give them a side by side with the 660S2, that's what I'm most curious about. I love the S2 and am curious how they stack up. But first let them settle in with some hours.

Earlier on the thread someone suggested ~50 hours. When I’ve done this before I connected it to my streamer/Dac/amp and just looped a playlist for a couple of days nonstop.

Is there any official “that’s nonsense” note from Sennheiser about burn in? I feel like bringing it up here is just starting a fresh new battle in the holy war.
