After a lot of tip rolling (Azla Xelastec/Crystal, Epro EP01/EP00/TW01, Spinfit CP360, UM stock tips,…), I find the Epro TW01 size S the best choice for me with the Mest mkII. Wide bore, very comfortable and the short length allows for deep insertion to maximize the BCD.
I’m using the Epro now too. Was using the stock ones and for a long time but tried the epro again after getting a new dap. The new dap sounded better with Epro’s so now there my favorite.
With it being winter here and cold I have found a new trick that helps me with getting a better seal. I dip just tip of finger into water and very lightly coat the outside of ear tips, or inside of ear before inserting in ear.
Go real light it doesn’t take much water don’t over wet the tips a very thin light coat is all you need.

Anyone have the MEST MkII and the IER M9? I'm curious they compare specifically from a bass perspective. I've been having issues with the M9 giving me the quantity of bass that I'm looking for and I've heard great things about bass impact from the MEST line, although I know the OG MEST apparently has even more bass than the MkII.

Indigo solves the bass quantity problem.

With the BTR5 are you running 2.5 balanced or 3.5 unbalanced?
Using for now 3.5 unbalanced stock cable; Got a second cable (it's OEM UM) which is 4.4 mm balanced couple weeks ago, but need to acquire an adapter to make it 2.5 mm. So I've yet to try it out and compare differences.

I think I'll get a PW (https://shop.musicteck.com/collecti...ced-male-with-occ-wire?variant=31713552171070). Don't know if a cheaper $20-30 from Amazon or Ebay will do the same work sound-wise, the PW is almost 100 bucks.

But will definitely look to upgrade to the LP W2 or Cayin RU6 in the not so distant future. Although, BTR5 has done a great job - well to me at least - I really have no point of reference.

Cheers lads,

Probably some of the best I’ve heard in an iem so far.
UM Indigo in number 3 ranked in my collection. I prefer it to Odin.

You are better off upgrading your DAC. You will get better sound and it won't be that much more than the adapters you are looking at. And, the adapters attenuate the sound and lose connectivity over time.

I would look at any of the following depending on your preferred use case:

Ifi Go Blu: Get this if you want Bluetooth
Lotoo PAW S2, L&P W2, Cayin RU6 is money is not an issue and you want the best sound
Lotoo PAW S1 used if money is an issue. You can get one for around $100.
