Again I’m selling the following all are weeks young barely used in my own evaluation to see who’s king of these IEM. I’m selling all purchased by me brand new. No trades. UM MEST, Noble Tux5, 64 Audio Tia Trio and Legend X all like new smelling like plastic for real. I’m in New York if you wanna hear them. Thanks

You mentioned you had this for a month last month. Which IEM did you end up keeping? Still ES5 or SE846 on top? What's your source?
Interesting observation...thinking about the area surrounding the IEM all the way to the bone itself. the vibration needs to be considerable to be perceptible on top of the music waves vibration. Would really like to try it
I wish there was a way to turn the bone conduction off. I won't know for sure

I have another theory with this bone conduction driver (granted, I'm clueless about these things...). It seems that MEST is optimized to play best at a certain volume. With bone conduction driver, if you go too low you get nothing. If you go too high, you end up with distortion from shell vibration. It seems that the optimal range is slightly higher than my typical volume range.
If UM is watching this thread, my suggestion for MEST improvement would be to add a switch to change the bone conduction sensitivity so some of us low volume listener can still get the benefit from it. While you are at it, add a hint of warmth at 500-1000Hz range then you will have a top flight IEM!

interesting ... but how does this article get 84 votes when it’s posted today. Only 40 votes for EVE20 that was posted 2 weeks ago...

I think there have been a lot of people waiting for this. Considering how long the MEST has been available, there is surprisingly little information/reviews available.

Your wish is my command (well, that's only if you're actually interested in my impressions, haha)

For anyone who is interested, I've just published my review of the MEST here on Head-Fi; see the link below:
https://www.head-fi.org/showcase/unique-melody-mest.24182/review/23789/
Oh, and it features comparisons with the EE Nemesis, Itsfit Fusion and some brief 'from memory' impressions vs the EE Valkyrie too.
Spoiler alert: overall, I highly recommend the MEST![KSC75 Smile  ](https://cdn.head-fi.org/e/headfi/ksc75smile.gif)

I finished my review of the MEST tour unit and posted it on my blog as well as head-fi reviews:

https://www.head-fi.org/showcase/unique-melody-mest.24182/review/23807/
I have to say, I really enjoyed this IEM. Highly skeptical, but turned out digging it.

Nice...this one has definitely made it on to the short list of things I would love to demo.
