I have found that the largest stock foam tips give me the best bass. Dekoni does nothing for me. Xelastic are very comfortable, but lose the majority of the bass. Spinfits and Dots lose the bass too. I ordered some Final Type E, should be here any day now.

A VERY tip dependent IEM.

Symbio W Foams are my preferred because that happens to me with the bass as well re: those tips.

Yep those are the ones! They're a mix of foam and silicone and a good fine line if you don't like foams.

If you dont like the faoms inside the tips. You can just take the foams out. They aren't adhered to the Symbios. You can just flip the tips upside down and just take out the foams. Actually way more comfortable that way.

And you can use those foams on other tips too for experimentation so keep them around just in case but otherwise. I take all the foams out of mines.

I forgot to note, I use a size smaller than normal for these ones. They fit a little shallow (at least in my ears) and a size down helps get the deeper fit required for the MEST.

Any thoughts comparing them to the Solaris 2020/LE yet that you got in last week?

Solaris is definitely fuller in vocals, the rest in the upcoming review

^^^ I historically DESPISE foam tips, but those Tennmaks are tolerable (actually, better than "tolerable") for me. They are the only foam tips I've ever tried that don't utterly absorb all the treble and suck-out the bass.

Final Type E tips are pretty good. If the OEM foam tips are 100%, Final Es get a 95%. Missing a tiny bit of low end rumble and top end sparkle.

My Mest arrived yesterday, so I was reviewing all my tips, to see which one I liked the most.
It is definitely an IEM that I enjoy more with the Final E or the silicone Sony. Precisely, the Sony size L have finally been chosen, because in this case they are more comfortable for me to be shorter, getting the same or even better sound.
