If you want to hear the best possible DD mids you should hear them in tandem with e-stat treble.
Haha. I wanted to hear the DD mids in these IEMs first. I am trying to stay below the $2000 level for IEMs for now.

About to fire up the 3DT via my Leo II and M8.

Edit: I'm rather stoked on the color coordination between all 4 components of this chain.
From one BC Boy to another, nice rig, enjoy!

Penon

OSG 839 vaulted 3DT tonality and bass control into A+ tier makes me smile and trance out

Hi guys!! Somebody mention the 3DT ship from New Jersey?!?! I’m in NJ and need it delivery by next weekend.
Or maybe I can pass by 😉.
Thanks.
Andrew and Musicteck are in Tenafly NJ. Dont know if he accepts drop ins or pickups but if he can 3Dts from New Jersey to Vancouver in 3 days I'm pretty certain he can 3DTs from NJ to NJ before next weekend!

Changed the cable...ahh what a difference. And I'm not talking about the sound. The stock cable, with the memory wire, would pull on the IEM and I would often lose the seal. Now I put them in and enjoy the music without having to worry about moving my head.

I removed the memory wire. Makes for a much better, super portable cable. It's easy to do.

I removed the wire on mine as well. It makes a huge difference. On your recommendation, however, I have a replacement cable on the way. I prefer a 4.4mm balanced termination due to my DAP’s anyway. Can’t wait to get the new cables.

Well, look who I've found here, my old pal drbluenewmexico keeping the torch lit for us tortured audiophile wanderers who have lost our way! lol. If drbluenewmexico says something is good (or excellent sounding), you can pretty much trust his opinion (to the newer head-fiers). Hope you're been well, bro. Oh, I just received these about 10 minutes ago and out of the box (stock tips and cable), I'm highly impressed! You know I'm rarely highly impressed out-of-the-box without burn-in (especially when we're talking about dynamic drivers). Let the process begin! I'll keep you posted. That live sound is definitely there!
The good Doctor Blue needs to have a program for recovering audio addicts at the ranch!

Does anyone have or had in the past the ISN H40 that can compare the sound to the 3DT??
Thanks!!
To me, polar opposite. For me, on my desktop combo, 3DT is bright sounding with lot of highs. Not scratching, not sibilant, nothing of all these "bad" adjectives, but still bright while H40 are definitively warm sounding with lot of weigth in high bass & low mids.
