Hey guys I'm curious if I would need to upgrade my gear for the customs.  Currently I used iphone 4, ipod 5th gen. For amps, I have E11, A10, and Zo.  Any input would be appreciated.

Great question. I wish to know the same, as I currently only have the FiiO E7, Zo amp, and Sansa Clip+, and of course, expecting the Zo V2 upon release.

i am planning to use it with my HM-602 which has a typical Hifiman sweet sounding. Should be a good match for BA IEMs.
i also received a pair of RE-272 today. FANTASTIC iem. the best dynamic IEM i have ever heard. very balanced sound with so much detail.
i am sure Miracle will beat that. :)

Unamped most customs sound very very good.. but amp them and you'll truly hear what they're capable of.  I found a noticeable improvement doing so with the 1964 Quads.  Cleaner, tighter, more crisp.  So much in fact, I almost always want to listen to them amped.

Is an amp required for most customs that are popular at HF?  Absolutely not.

Is something like the E11, A10, and ZO good enough?

Is it still going on?  The 25 promotional drawing for North America (USA/CANADA) I think is over.  Not sure about just the 20%, but I believe it is done as well.
