The discount started last year (April 2012) when the promo items started shipping to some of us (myself included).

You should contact them - it would be illogical for them to offer you a near-expired discount. I think they will understand.

i havent received anything besides the unit itself, and UM Global refuses to respond to my queries on the cable, is that how UM works? item is good but with bad services and people who doesnt even give a damm about queries, disappointing!

Yep.  In all my audiophile dealings, they take the cake for by far the absolute worst service.  I would never recommend them to anyone.

I got a reply 2 hours  after i wrote a e-mail , I actually can't complain about the service. I just got my cable and all the other items of the promo , the parcel left australia on the 6th march. The german custom control didn't let it go until today , i had to pay 10 euros (19% import tax) , what so ever iam happy now , i dont know many companies that would still fulfill their offers 2 years later considering that so much went wrong with subcompanies.
 
One question , on my plussound cable is no indicator for left or right side , just a gold and a silver dot , what is what ?
 
Edit: stopped being lazy and did some measurements , gold right silver left
