A700s are pretty terrible. I'll agree with a previous poster saying that ES7s are miles ahead of them.

If you want a good sounding and inexpensive closed headphone with a healthy amount of bass, take a look at the M-Audio Q40.

do you listen to rock? pop? classical? jazz?

do you prefer bass-heavy? bass-light?

i prefer heavy bass. well i listen to drum and bass, trance stuff. and some r&b. im not into alternative rock.

Just get the ES7. Best closed back at its price range. The extra $$$ spent is more than worth it.

u mean the ath es7? it's pretty cheap about 110 USD. i thought the best portable one was the senheiser hd 280?!?
