What does Audiotechnica bring to the table that's unique?
How does Audiotechnica deliver a surround sound experience like the Ultrasone S-logic?

unfortunately AT doesnt bring with them a clever marketing term the way Ultrasone does

It's really impossible to compare such a wide variety of headphones (Audio Technica makes seemingly hundreds of models) from two different manufacturing companies. I'm sure there will be those (in this thread and elsewhere) who will try, but that sort of effort is futile IMO. More specific questions about headphone X versus headphones Y and Z are likely to allow people to give you better guidance.

ok dawg. ultrasone hfi 580 in contrast to the ath a700 closed back. what's the difference? and which would give me the better buy for music with high bass and treble

both those cans should be balanced towards bass and treble but you really have to listen to them yourself to see which one you prefer

i bought hfi 580s and im planning on gtetting the ath a700 closed back.

AT cans (except A-series) don't have that gaping hole at midrange, which I prefer more.

if you don't mind open headphones. I preferred AD700 much, much more. Great all-rounder.

For audio technica closed back the ES7 is far superior to the A700. Which sucks.
