Ultrasone Pro 900 Impressions Thread

How would these go with a Matrix M-Stage HPA-3u+? Quite a few of you guys suggested the M-State (the HPA-2) in particular. But since that is discontinued and there is only one person selling it that pretty much takes that out of consideration. If anyone has heard these cans paired with the newer M-Stage or can just say anything about the 3u+, that would be great.

EDIT: On a slightly different note, does anyone know how well an NFB-11 can take these puppies?

So the Audeze deckard sounds amazing with the pro 900. The matrix is supposed to be similar in design or something to that effect, so I think it would be very good. The deckard is my favorite amp so far with them.

To each their own :) I owned them for 3 years.. yep 3. Then fell for the DT770, followed by the 400i. Can't go back.

I have HE-500, and DT1770, also sold off my DT770, still none can do what the Pro 900 does. Pro 900 has remained EDM king.

It's not the best for vocals/mid range, but it is unmatched in bass slam and the sparkly treble for edm.

To each their own is true.

They are worth that easily (actually more) and they are still the best EDM cans available.

Well, I had a Pro 900 for the last six years, and I just got a pair of TH-X00 Ebony. These days, my listening is about 80% EDM and the TH-X00 has both more and deeper bass, and better soundstage.

So no, the Pro 900 are not the best cans available for EDM, and if I had the money, I'd say that the TH-900 is probably it.

But TH-X00, TH-600 and TH-900 are all more expensive, so consider it an upgrade path. :)

Absolutely disagree, having owned ThX00 PH, and Original THX00 and sold both.

I think P900 has better bass impact and imaging too.

TH900 is quite good, however totally different price class and also it has sharp trebles spikes which can fatigue on certain songs.

I'm trying out the Pro 900i. Obviously, the "i" has a different headband, but some reviews say there is also a difference in sound as well. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Would the Kees mod also improve the 900i?
