Ultrasone Pro 900 Impressions Thread

I think stage 1 is enough with the Pro900. Stage 2 becomes a bit overwhelming/muddy as the bass of the Pro900 is already fairly strong below 100Hz. I don't know the frequency range of the stage 1 boost but I think any impact gained is done here as the stage 2 is purely boosting frequencies below 70Hz which isn't really the impactful bass region. (correct me if I'm wrong)

The 4G seems to have changed the bass boost to 0dB,3dB,9dB

O.k i see...
Now i am less concerned knowing that 4G's bass boost gain is more adjustable by adding the 3db gain..
I am now listening to a bass oriented track like the one in the spoiler

from my Xonar D2x/E7 combo(E7 as an amp) with bass boost 1 through my DJ1 and i am really enjoying the bass presence..
This is the perfect amount of bass impact that i like and i am looking for from an amp...

the pro 900s sound good with my xm6, and it has a 3db+ bass boost.

Hey guys, anyone know how to fix scratches on the silver part of the pro 900's? I've got a couple scratches on the ultrasone logo and the silver plating itself and don't know how to remove them.

Has anyone that has listened to the westone 3/westone 3 LE's IEM's compare their sound to the ultrasone 900's?

Also does the pico slim have enough power to amplify these bad boys?

So, I succumbed and just ended up getting an E9 since it was dirt cheap, and something is better than nothing.  I had a minor improvement when I was tooling around using my receiver as a "headphone amp", but then later discovered that is nowhere near as good as a dedicated headphone amp in most cases.  I just assumed the current that was being generated to power a huge speaker setup would have plenty of power for headphones.

Anyway, my E9 just arrived and uh....

No, really, where the hell did those vocals come from?

Well I went for it. 330 dollars free shipping no tax for a pair of ultrasone pro900's. Seems like a great price for these phones.

Now I just have the pray the pico slim can amp them properly. I'd really hate to have to get a bulkier amp.
