Hello everyone,
wanted to get some personal advise between these different cans.  I was mainly going to use them for mixing and editing music.  I also listen to a substantial amount of music that is heavy in bass content.  I would say the bass extension and "impact" is more favorable attribute than imaging and detail.  Although I want it all, the importance of bass ability is what I'm looking for.

Using
EIIO5 mini amp
Asus Laptop with XI-FI platinum sound card

Thank you in any help in helping me decide

dont know much about the d2000, but the hfi 580s are amazing. id even go as far as saying their sound quality is better than the ath m50s. the phiaton headphones are awesome looking and their cord isnt 10ft like the hfi580s, but its sound quality isnt as good as the hfi580s. both headphones offer great bass, id describe the ms400 sound as more warm.

it's a 15 foot cable, and yes a knife and a steady hand.
