Get the T1's you cheap person and I assure you the next level up from your current headphones is oh so good =D

Yeah my cheapness is struggling to justify a headphone over 1k... close to 3k isn't going to happen... ever.

Damn this site! I joined looking at headphones worth $150. Then purchased a few pairs (HD650, DT770 (600) and AD900) to do some comparisons and try to figure out the sound I want. Now I am beginning to read more and more into the HD800/T1 after hearing the HD800 last weeked. For now my hands are staying out of my pockets.. but for how long? >.>

At least you had the opportunity to hear the HD800's, I just had to effectively buy blind with my LCD-2's on the basis they would be an upgrade.

Haha true. Though I only got to hear it through Sennheiser's snorefest audition tracks. The decent thing about this hobby is if you buy second hand you pretty much make your money back minus postage. So if I find what I purchase is not exactly to my liking, I could always sell it off for pretty much smack on what I payed for it (obviously as long as it was looked after).

Edit: Are you eyeballing the T1 Momiji?

haha... i heard the T1 last week and the HD800 2 days ago. pretty nice sounding headphones if I must say so myself, but i know i wont enjoy my music if i bought them. something about them just seemed to make my head go, "ok... that's just too much now..."

listening to music, especially rock music, through $1000+ headphones just doesn't fit right with me.
