Ultrasonic DIY, vinyl 30 years old sounds brand new, highly recommended!!!

do you boil the water to cook out the minerals and chalk first? (and let it cool down of course)

It is the best option available - variations on the theme are "mixtures" ( alcohol or no alcohol, surfactant or no surfactant, temperature, time ...) - but it beats anything that went on before.

time to invest in a sonic shower.

time to invest in a sonic shower.

I have thrown together various combos, and so far this seems to be the best combo for Vinyl cleaning that I have come up with: distilled H2O+1 tsp of Isopropyl Alcohol+40 degrees Celsius+Ultrasonic bath+5 min per third album.

I haven't seen that rotating at 3 rpm or less is all that helpful, the vinyl needs to sit in the bath to clean more thoroughly, bubbles off the surface of the vinyl while cleaning is a good sign for results!

Hey guys, looking to upgrade my LP120, what are your thoughts the Debut Carbon and the RP1? What other turntables could be better in the $500 range? And which would be a good budget (but good) phono amp? Thanks!

Just chiming in about the RP1 since I had it and sold it off within a month. In short, don't buy it. Save a little and get at least the RP3.
The RP1 is very entry level in ever single sense of the word. For the cost it is better to get a DAC.

I've never heard the Debut Carbon though.

Lots of people speak highly of the U-Turn Orbit.  You can get one fully loaded for around $400.  I have never heard one though.  They also sell a phono preamp for $89.00.  So together that would be within your budget of $500 (without tax).  But do your homework on these.
