Hi guys I currently own a DT990 250ohms and was thinking about getting a tube amp to improve the sound signature of the DT990s. I've read some threads about the Denon D2000s being pretty awesome for bass and in some people's opinions actually bettering the DT990s. So I was wondering, which pair of cans improves more when a tube amp is paired up with them? I am particularly interested in the Darkvoice line of amps. If the D2000s improve significantly compared to that of the 990s I might actually replace my DT990s with the Denons.

The Millet MiniMax is an amazing pairing with the DT-990

HOWEVER, the E7/E9 combo is such a STEAL!  Best Value in HIFI hands down!  Amazing versatility.  Portable/Desktop/USB DAC and can power nearly ANY headphone from reviews (people are comparing it to $600+ amps and that's just the E9!@#!@@!!) Every amp/DAC collection should start here.

Haha the millett mini is a tube amp right? How much would its price be used? As for the e7/e9 combo i can get a darkvoice used for one third again the price for that of a new set, and i'm really interested in trying out a tube sound. If im not wrong the fiio amps are more solid state sounding right? I'm really hoping to get a significant improvement in my sound too so wouldnt want to save a bit but regret it later. Anyone have any experience with dt990 and d2000s with tube amps?
