Trinity Audio Engineering - What the future holds

Hey, thanks for the prompt reply :) no worries, at least I pretty much know i'm gonna get more than what I paid for hehe. Looked up heat treated titanium and oh boy looks sick as hell!

Btw, if I so may ask, what does special hunter ownership mean? I saw someone askin about that but I don't think anyone has an answer to that yet...

We have pretty much sorted all the special privileges.

Hunter owners will get a special discount from us in future purchases once they have their units.

We have also negotiated some great discounts with a specialist audio retailer that only hunter owners will get.

Cable warranty will be 5 years for hunter owners.

We may add a couple of other little bits too.

There was something I read regarding something like Cost, Quality, Time TRINITY if I'm not wrong. You can only pick 2 haha. I guess Cost and Quality is what trinity is. I waited around a month after Bob said PM4 was shipped out. But oh boy they sound real good for the price.

Absolutely agree. I read every single post from this thread and main phantom thread and can understand that some people are upset abot QC issues. But my lord, most of the users have no clue about changes but nevertheless create a lot of information based on their own view about earphones  and imagination and than another user use this information and add some more  info...and so on Its look like a broken phone game. Really tired of this.

I also have frustration about long development period, armature delay, no reviews of prototypes etc. But I need to say that Bob offers excellent compensation for that and new updated PM6 looks as a great product for me.

Good luck Bob.

I think it's hugely frustrating all round, trust me I don't sit here not worrying, we want to be done as fast as possible but sometimes it just doesn't work that way.

In fact sometimes it makes me wonder if being so open about everything on here is even a good thing, it used to be.....

Good point.

We have to bring everything in within a budget, but it needs to be right. We have had a few small issues lately and wanted them addressed before we get anything else out.

People can have it one way or another but not both at our prices. So we have had to make changes for the better and in turn it slows things a little, but let's face it some of the gear we sell would cost VASTLY more with some other brands.

Just so we are aware, will the upgrade option of pm4 etc be available before or after xmas? No need for specifics, but just so we are aware. Some people may need to budget, with it being this time of year etc

I'm glad the braided cables are gone. I know some people loved them but they only were a pain to me, hard to untangle and the threading would come undone in a short time. On top of that I had 3 of them fail, so I am not sad to see them gone. So from what I am understanding we will be able to upgrade the Sabre and Vyrus for the newer versions, right @Bobtrinity? I liked everything about them except the cables (with the exception of the fabric cable, to me that was the perfect cable with the exception of the mic).

The connectors on the cables are an issue. They are not the same size among cables and that's why some of them will go all the way in and some of them won't. I just received my third replacement and it will barely go in, is so difficult in fact that when I forced it in it started to split my Sabre. I already contacted Trinity but this is getting frustrating, as much as I like their products both iems that I bought from them had issues right of the gate.

Just to check, are you aware that the proprietary cable system Trinity are currently using has a raised notch on one side of the cable plug?
Meaning that they will only go in (unless brutally forced, at the risk of damaging the body) when the 'notch' and 'channel' on cable plug and IEM body respectively are aligned?

I think there's photos of what I'm describing on the original Phantom thread if you search.

Apologies if you already knew this, but it seemed prudent to check!

Does that mean we cant use aftermarket cables bought from other places?

Yes, I am very aware of that, I own two of their products and know how their cables go in. The connector itself is smaller, off by very little but enough to cause this issue. I tried the cable on both my Vyrus and Sabre.

Oh well... I can appreciate your frustration for sure. Mine have been fine, but it's known that there were a few faulty pairs/parts around.
I guess the good thing is that at least Trinity are aware of it, have a 'no questions asked' replacement policy, and have been busy resolving the problem with a redesign and new suppliers/manufacturers.
I've seen other company's products on this forum that have known issues, and the company in question refuse to even acknowledge it..
