So now that there is the new ALO PanAm (+ Passport battery), we have a transportable tube amp, and we have the Headroom Portable Micro Dac/Amp at about the same price point as the ALO...
On the budget end we have the O2 and Odac combo, as well as the Audio GD NFB-16...
Are there any other dac/amps that fit in this category (not pocket sized, but with the option of battery operation)? I'm especially interested in other tube amps to compete with the PanAm that have the option of battery power (I consider the Continental and PortaTube a different category, so I'm excluding them - I also am not currently looking at anything designed for iPod use, so no Algorythm solo/HP-P1 type unit) Has anyone done a side by side of these?
