R2R DAC shots fired! I hope the sound quality lives up to this feature set. I've not tried out any Topping DAC before but an R2R one would be too tempting to resist.
Quite excited about this! Hopefully will be able to get a unit for review. I loved the cyan 2, so if this is really similar but with built in OS, and PEQ at a lower price that's going to be killer
Hi, where is the info from that the R2R module inside is the same as the Cyan2's?Holo manufactures the actual R2R dac itself. It's the same module as in the Cyan 2
You can see from the pcb itself. But I also spoke to Tim about itHi, where is the info from that the R2R module inside is the same as the Cyan2's?
thanks

Makes me wonder if corners have been cut somewhereI'm surprised that Holo is seemingly not worried about cannibalizing sales of the more expensive Cyan 2?
Cyan 2 is a brick for HQP users. This is a much more functional product but you have to get past the cognitive dissonance it's a Topping not a Holo.I'm surprised that Holo is seemingly not worried about cannibalizing sales of the more expensive Cyan 2?
.... perhaps the Topping name has anti-value ....I'm surprised that Holo is seemingly not worried about cannibalizing sales of the more expensive Cyan 2?
At that price point I would always go for the Cyan. Topping products are known to lose value pretty quickly. I guess the LIMITED edition of the Topping DX9 is still sitting on the shelves with lots of dust due to its high price. That was quick…price now $999.-!
