To the folks that use a DDC for i2s connection... What is your experience?

If you get a clock, let me know how it goes. Doug has been trying to talk me into one for months. I've heard other setups with clocks in place, but never my own.

May I ask why is that? Meaning, didn't you find enough improvements in the ones you auditioned to justify the purchase?

The master clocks are quite expensive. As are the cables.

The ock2 is an affordable option and performs very well.

I have my dac and ddc connected to the ock2 and that brought a huge increase in sound quality when I thought I was near the ceiling of how much better it could get.

It's just the cost. And my dac doesn't have a clock input, only my ddc.

Doug, I looked into the ock 2👁️👄👁️, aaaand it seems that I found my next purchase. But we're talking maybe for Christmas 🎄🎁. It's not that expensive, I was expecting a lot worse

I don't get it, is this the ock 1, or 2? It seems that they think they can fool people into believing that is the 2 but it's the 1 lmao

Anyway, I found the 2 on AliExpress... Well a little more on the expensive side but nothing particular bad
