See my previous reply regarding machine configuration on Fidelizer Pro, eg. extremist opt. & Network render for Tidal.
Some of the settings are permanent if you choose Extremist optimization. You can revert all settings to normal by clicking on the uninstall button...or select costum optimization and untick "Allow core optimization to run automaticly on startup". Here is a link for more info: http://www.fidelizer-audio.com/user-guide/

Another thing I miss about the old app - the pop-up that appeared when a new track started playing with the track details. Now I need to switch back to the player every time I wanna know about a track (when I'm playing music that is new to me, of course).

Anyone else having playback problems? After roughly 4/5 of a song the playback starts speeding up and jumping forwards, and cuts off after 10 seconds or so. Restarting doesn't help and this happens on every song.

I'm running the latest version of the app on Windows 7, playback on HiFi.

I'm relieved to know that I'm not the only one.  I downloaded the beta windows app and tried it on my tablet running windows pro 8.1.  It does very odd things on playback and then quits working all together.  Pretty much the same thing when I tried it on an old computer running windows Vista.  It looks like their programmers have some work to do.

It happened to me yesterday, but only on 2 extra long tracks. I think one was 10 minutes and the other 20, off Snarky Puppy's last album Sylva (amazing music by the way). Also at about 2/3 - 4/5 of the song it started skipping forward.
And today it had one track that simply cut off at some point and there was no way getting beyond that point even after restarting the track and trying to jump beyond it.

For the Mac, I still have the Notification Popup in the upper-right hand corner.  And the setting can be changed as well in System, Notifications.

Edit: oops, I see you are using Windows.  I'll leave up in case any Mac user wants to change default.

TIDAL Desktop with Apple TV Remote

I am enjoying the new Tidal desktop app (beta). http://tidal.com/us/download

iMac 27 > Bootcamp > Win7 > Meridian Explorer DAC.

The user interface is the same as in Chrome. Gapless is great. No dropouts or problems.

Best of all, I can use my AppleTV Remote to control the Tidal app (Forward/Backward/Pause) as well as my volume.

wen amarra for tidal is out  will Fidelizer Pro+amarra for tidal give me even better sq or do i only use one software?
if yes with one?

Back to basics:
Fidelizer= computer optimizer
Amarra/Roon= Player software
Asio Bridge= Asio speaking software, ie. bit perfect playback for players without this option...or exclusice mode if you want.
Jplay= Audio enhancer that will give you better synergy between computer and hardware depending on setup. Doubles as a memory player (Jplay mini) or streamer (Jplay streamer) together with minimserver/ Kazoo/Bubble that make you control the player with a tablet with high end performance...but requires Windows 8.
Audio Optimizer= Audio enhancer for Windows server only. Together with Jplay you can easaly create a double PC setup with one control PC and one audio render PC.
AirServer= Software that enables airplay on Windows/Mac computers with lossless quality. Requires 5 ghz network to funktion properly.

*As long as you use a computer Fidelizer will bring the best audio performance out of your computer, despite other softwares. So far it is the best one around.
* Players will only "hi-jack" Tidal player and give you better user experiance and at best give you bit perfect playback and player related audio performances.
* Asio speaking software is just needed if the players is NOT bit perfect, ie. Not bypassing the windows sound mixer. If you want you can use Jrivers WDM driver for similar results.
* Jplay will be useful for enhancing the performance between computer and hardware. So far it is the best one around.
* Audio Optimizer might be the best solution together with Jplay and Fidelizer...but requires two computers. One wind Windows 7 and one with Windows Server OS.
* AirServer will give you the abbility to use send lossless audio from your iPad to your computer with the soundcard of your choice...eg choose VB cable for Tidal.

Hopefully this gave you a brief insight in what the software does for you. What you choose is depending on what OS you have got.

isnt amarra for tidal suposed have bitperfect?

or did i read this wrong?  http://http://www.the-ear.net/news/amarra-tidal

You read it right! If you use Amarra for Tidal you will probably not need for Asio Bridge anymore (but worth trying since it might sound better than Amarras solution..and maybe not)....but you will still need Fidelizer and Jplay for the best sound.

In that case I'm assuming it's a feature that will appear in the future for Windows.
The windows app doesn't have a 'system' menu, it has a 'settings' page and there's no 'notifications' tab.

Sorry, neither does the Mac app.  The notification feature is part of the Mac OS.  Apple pretty much copied the notification features of the iphone over to the Mac.  So on the OS system settings you can change how you want the notification popup.  I assume there's some code in the app itself that lends itself to these features.  The old app had it too.

I wanted to complain about how Tidal has their albums organized.  When I'm looking at an artists catalog, I want to see by date originally released.  I don't care if it it's newest first or vice verse.  What Tidal does is shows it by whatever the latest release date is.  I have to go to www.allmusic.com to find out the real release order.  I just checked on Spofity and they handle this correctly even if the album is a remaster.  It just seems Tidal is not as organized with their data.
