I will be buying the Biforst & LYR this friday, but this is great news.
I plan to show them off to some of my friends at the job, they'll think I'm crazy for paying $950 for audio hardware but then I can be like "well if you like how this sounds, Schiit also has a $100 DAC and AMP you can buy"

That's awesome! Just spent today wading through head-fi to find out info about Schiit's statement dac and amp. This is quite a statement in itself though. I'll be excited to see how they perform and peoples' impressions! Makes me even more excited for the statement releases.

I'd say it was very well planned for Schiit to introduce these right before Christmas.
 
Basing my assumption off of Schiit's other offerings...they would probably pair very well with your 588s.

You're going to be using the MAGNI with your HE-500's? Which DAC are you going to use with the MAGNI Amp?

dang~~~ this is crazy~~ moving from place to place has me holding off on purchasing a decent DAC and I was almost ready to get the O2 DAC for fun~~ but now!!!! Schiit~ i would definitely perfer home made products and to support local economy over buying from China~~
