Your choice. Personally I have never had anything go missing in the post from the US but I do prefer tracking.
 
And $99 + $15 is still cheaper than the $150 you were quoting.

Authorised Grado resellers are not allowed to ship overseas.
 
Never had any problems using USPS, Fedex and UPS from the US to here (Australia).
