Hi, i was able to reshell them too.
Just came in a few weeks ago.
First 2 photos are the first batch of production model, serial 1405. I was able to retain the number on my reshelled version.

Really love the ciem version, the mids are longer as forward and sharp as it used to be, the mid bass bloat are somehow gone too.

Is this the original cable that came with your Voyager 14? Mine has a plastic-covered two-pin cable terminus. The problem is that the cable comes loose way too easily. Your cable otherwise looks the same as mine.

V14 vs QDC Anole VX

Well, they have a wider soundstage (although less depth), are probably the best IEM you can buy for 1000€, but don't even came close to the level of fidelity of the Anole VX, especially in the highs. Anole's treble is much more refined and detailed. Anole's bass is also superior in terms of tightness, texture and with more weight on sub-bass, so it wins hands down. V14 can sound more holographic, more 3D, with a bit better separation, fruit of the 4 more drivers per side, but it's what it is, a 1000€ IEM. Can't compete with the 2000€ league, don't even dream about it.

Switches are a mess, both useless, while Anole's switches do wonders. In terms of tuning is immediately obvious that Anole VX is the clear winner and sounds more refined and natural in all areas.

Cable used was Effect Audio Leonidas on FiiO M15.

If we compare their prices, this isn't hugely surprising. But the V14 is darned good for $999, in my opinion (aside from the annoying tendency for the cable to come loose from the earpieces easily).

This is a very good IEM and deserves a second test.

Actually I prefer it with the stock cable rather than Leonidas. By far. And in this case, bass and treble switches ON. It sounds amazing! :scream:

At this point I have doubts about those differences for Anole VX. Need to retest the whole thing.

How can a cable mess a IEM all up and change sonic character and so much more, Leonidas is a terrible pairing for Voyager 14. Simply doesn't work here.

Now with stock cable and treble switch up it sounds indeed close to QDC Anole VX. It's difficult to find a fault on V14 now. With the Anole VX tips bass sounds much tighter, what an improvement a cable and tips made.

People in this thread are no fools when they compare it to Anole VX. No kidding. I still think treble is a bit more refined on Anole (and I appreciate that), but you don't notice this without an A/B. Not saying V14's treble is not good, it's just Anole VX treble that is exceptional.

How's are the subbass and bass now with the stock cable? Also are they about the same in size? Could i kindly ask you for a picture of the V14/Anole next to each other?

Also i see that you're selling the V14 already?
