How does the Clairvoyance compare with the original MEST? I know I will really like the tuning, I just wonder how natural it sounds, b/c some artificial sounding upper treble is the one thing that bothers me a bit regarding the MEST.
The Dunu EST112 is coming out soon, should give the Claire a run for the money given it's all metal shell with EST, should be impactful on the Bass area. I tried the OG Mest, I think it's good for movies🤣.

I already have the cable waiting for them... the Fiio LS-2.5D, the best cable in my collection so far

I had 2 different Fiio cables go bad on me in less than 3 months. Never buying one again.

I would contact the fiio and I would have them both replaced, so it will also cost them a bit of effort, since the mistake is theirs.

Just ordered the Monarchs as my first $700+ IEM. Anyone got an idea what kind of time frame I'm looking at before it ships?
Welcome! Expect a long long wait, 6weeks ish

I recommend you keep telling yourself to expect them in 8 weeks, then be happy when they show (hopefully) in 6 or 7 weeks.
I was about to order mine but just decided to order the Softears RSV instead, mainly because of the review from Michael Bruce

In terms of cohesive technicalities RSV reigns on top of all IEMs/cans I ever tried. It’s a tough game to make tribrids as cohesive as pure BAs. So it’s more of a “resolution and beautiful sound coloration ” vs “realistic sound reproduction”

Im thinking about getting the Monarch or Clair with a 20ohm adapter for more bass. Has anyone heard the Monarch that way and can compare it with the Clair (with or without a 20ohm adapter)? I'm coming from the ikko oh10 so I definitely need a little more bass than the stock sound of the monarch (or clair).

I tried, answer is nah...the EST air/transparency gets the trade off for boosted bass. For bass boost, upon many trials, I come to conclusion replacing original EST cable with Linsoul’s another high-end cable LSC08 shall justify sub-bass/ bass in both quality/quantity.

Yes. I have 2 - 20 ohm impedance adapters. One balanced and one single end. I used it with many sources with the Monarchs and to my ear, it does not improve the sound except for with my Chord Mojo. This may be due to the fact that I really like the stock tuning of the Monarchs. What I experience is slightly elevated bass and mids. But, the cost is much worse treble response and much smaller sound stage. I think it's better to simply EQ them.
