Yes! I actually started to add a little treble when I use them now. Don't know, but my preferred tuning seem to change over time. Been using brighter IEMs lately and when I switched back to these pads + Ghost I missed some treble. Might feel differently next week lol.
Thanks. I can't resist a cheap headphone. There is a local guy selling a pair of R70X's cheap, then there are these and I have even been reading up on FiiO FT3's.
I even put the Ghosts in my cart. Up here in Canada they are $158.00 on Amazon and the pads are about $40.00.

Same on the FT3s, they keep calling my name

On Amazon.ca, I got $16.00 off the headphones so, $158.00. Then I got what I assume is a returned set via a warehouse deal on the pads, so I get them for about $38.00. So, $195.00, plus tax for a total of about $225.00, landed. Or...I could get a used set of R70X's for $250.00, supposedly in pretty good shape, locally.

Haven't tried R70X, but they get much love, so they are probably a great choice as well. I think Amazon got good return policy, so if you don't like the Ghosts you can always return them.

I have always hesitated on the R70X's as I think I know exactly how they will sound: Very much like the Senn HD600/HD650, which I am not a fan of.

Well, I had 6XX as daily driver before Ghost, so maybe you should take my opinions with a pinch of salt... =D
My only criteria is that a new headphone brings a new sound to the collection. And of course, that I don't hate it.

I've increased the sub-base at 32 and 64hz 3-5dB. Increase mids at 1 and 2khz 3dB. Ruduce 8 and 16khz 2-3dB. This is just where I'm playing at it for now. They're fine without EQ really.

I've tried sub bass and low bass a few times but I keep coming back to neutral, I think the Meze 109 pads are increasing the bass over stock pads for me. I also have enjoyed a 3db boost at 1khz and 2khz though, and I've left the upper register alone.

I have the stock pads. Absolutely, the Meze pads increase bass. How do you like the pads and "neutral?
