Still not in Canada... You'd think they'd *want* to sell it to people who want to buy it.

Nice review though. Looks like a promising unit so far. I hope its hackable to some sort of drag-and-drop and maybe if we're lucky use on non-windows OS. I'd buy one if I could get one here. Although if the second gen introduces a flash player I'd try to get my hands on one in a heartbeat.

Has anyone here tried this Zune mod? I need to update my 30GB iPod due to its small storage size. I want a Zune, but they're only available in 30GB. This mod seems easy enough and would be the price equivalent of an 80GB iPod (Zune = $200, 80GB HD = 140, and 80GB iPod = $350).

^^NO!. Just the Zune software. Some dude at Zuneboards are trying to get this working. The Zune is seen by WMP but cant sync. WMP have to send the same code or something as the Zune software so this way the Zune can sync.

Lossless playback means the DAP is capable of playing back lossless codecs such as APE, FLAC, WMA Lossless, etc etc. Lossless codecs yield the highest quality digital reproduction of the audio file.

Don't mean to hijack this thread, but I just recently bought a Zune and I've noticed that when I sync my files it converts any file that is higher than 192Kbps. Am I missing a setting in the software somewhere? The documentation states it will handle AAC, WMA and MP3 up to 320Kbps. 192 works for a lot of stuff, but I can hear some artifacts on some songs.

Thanks!

^^ YEAH YOU MISSING SOMETHING. Go to the Sync options...and click the Advanced button for your Zune...

Tell the software to use its Recommended settings for Audio and Video Quality. Both sliders should be greyed out.
