The Xiaomi Pistons Thread 2.0

Hey guys, I think I'm gonna pick up a pair off here: http://www.ibuygou.com/p-xiaomi-piston-3rd-generation-edition-earphone-orignal---reddot-design-award-winner-6680.html

What do you think? Is IBuyGou known to sell fake stuff? I know they're Piston 2s aren't fake, but that doesn't necessarily mean they don't sell fake stuff (afaik).

Read the first post and you'll find out.

But to save you time, iBuyGou is legit -- at least, from lots of happy buyers. I'm still unsure about this since you're buying the Pistons 3.0...I'd suggest waiting for Penonaudio to start stocking them.

Exactly. I read the first post.

So is PenonAudio "more" legit? How?

Well, I've always had some distrust for 3rd-party sellers, but I'm willing to make an exception for Penonaudio. These guys are worth trusting -- and from the dozens of reputable people that buy their stuff from there, I'm sure you can agree.

They look awesome :) I haven't seen MI (official Fb site) posting anything about the 3.0 version yet. I'd wait for a few more days, but honestly - I think this is true :) On the photos you can see "MI" and "1MORE" - it looks authentic. Whoever buys them, I hope he/she writes a review here.

I just purchased the new Pistons from this American website that I saw posted on Reddit: http://www.nikingstore.com/shop/xiaomi-all-new-piston-earphone-black-1497.html

He said he starts shipping them on Monday, so hopefully I get them quicker than the Chinese websites ship out.

Once I receive them I will be posting a review here :)

Since you're talking about the Pistons 3.0, you might want to post that here:

And I have my dual driver Samsung HS 3303 ...8 mm tweeter + 10 mm woofer, ported and vented......deeply unfashionable, resolutely ignored by almost everyone, same price as Pistons, high quality mic and controls for Galaxy Note/Tab/S and sound absolutely brilliant.

So, based solely on this comment, I decided to pick up a pair. Wow! These are good. How do they take to burn-in?

Thanks for the pointer.
