Well I don't think any headphones stock provide that punch & rumble I'm looking for so don't worry, I'm hooking my headphones up to digiZoid ZO to give me that crazy bass. Wonder if WS99 will be able to handle ZO2.1's pretty high hissing levels, with some sensitive 32 ohm or so headphones it may have slightly more than what I can accept if it's very sensitive headphone (loud). I also have ZO2.3 which has hissing levels fixed but I like the sound of v2.1 a lot more with my Q40 at least, ZO2.1 + Q40 is such a magical combo.

But XB500 + ZO2.1 sounded not very good though compared to ZO2.3 so I guess it's headphone dependant. :)

I use like lvl 7-9 bass boost out of 32 or so on the ZO2.1 with Q40 headphones but it doesn't get bassier at a higher level, at these levels it provides maximum power vs clean output, going to lvl 32 it's just more soft and less solid and has a bit negative impact on the rest of the range.

Alrighty, just asking for a fellow head-fier. I actually have the ws99.

I have the Pro900's and the WS99's arriving tomorrow.

I love the Pro900's - everything about them.  Just to give you a different perspective.  Shows how we all hear differently when you compare my opinion is with previous poster.

You're right and I was a bit harsh on the 900's.  I hope it wasn't hurt by my mean words.  We just didn't get along.

Ordered! I'm going to reject my shippment of 4 Panasonics and velour pads and reorder 1 set of those. I'm pumped about these, but it looks like I'll need a good extension cable. Thanks Dsnuts!

Im searching for an all rounder headphone, i already have mdr1r and hd25, but i find mdr1r not very balanced, too much mids and hd25 too harsh but with better timbre, im between these ws99 and es700, i listen to all kind of music, but trance most, but what i want is a balanced headphone, nice bass, not recessed mids, and sparkle highs but never harsh/sibilant, which do you thinks is better?
Thanks
