does that fit the WS77? I wasn't asking about the WS99.

it hurts like high hell on the WS77! Its not the pads softeness. Its my ears being shoved up against the plastic on the WS77. The ws99 pads are probably much better.

Oh ok haha i thouyght the WS99 indeed they are just right in comfort the pads are really good quality not that they are thick but just thick enough.....WS77 looks comfi enough but no good replacement so far...? maybe the Sennheiser HD25 II pads....?

WS77 is over ear.

Err, people have various sized ears. My ears are pretty large so as long as the "bone" part of my ear fits inside I call it over ear as it feels like it anyway as only a few headphones would fit all of it. :p Manufacturers label it over-ear pretty often despite fitting perhaps only 40-50% of people's ears. A good example is Sennheister Momentum "over-ear" model. For me they sit on my ears and I'm like noway people have such small ears! Yet seems like there is some people fitting their ears inside, I envy those people with such small ears. :p

well... They are both for me. XD my ears go in the opening, but also touch the outsides. All I know is that=NEEDS NEW PADS and also this is on the product description of the WS77's: Audio-Technica’s ATH-WS77 over ear headphones feature a newly developed double air chamber system, which expands bass output without sacrificing audio clarity.


Oh also my ears stick out pretty far, but aren't too wide.

Alright... How big across are the HM5 pads? The WS77 pads are about 3 inches across, or 7.62cm.

Hiya everyone, Iv got these as an "upgrade" coming from the Ath-a900x. As far as im aware the bass is a lot a lot more kick on these. What I'd love to know is: can anyone give any guidance in regards to the size of the ws99? I'm looking for a hard case buy I can't tell which one to get? Or can anyone recommend a hard case? I'm from the UK, thanks :)
