Hey guys, thanks for waiting!
Is that what you are looking for?

=) thanks. That looks like what I meant. (And good)
Why is one straight and one angled? Are they magical switchable or convrttible plugs xD?
I suspect Q Mass wanted that as well, Not sure whether the angling the socket down bit was important and why if it was.

The picture is just to show you guys how those look like at once.
You may just select between the angled or straight  or of course you may ask to doing just same as the picture too~

That's not quite the same as the plug I was referring to.
Still looks pretty good though.
The ones I have are actual 90 degree plugs, where the cable exits at 90 degrees to the axis of the MMCX plug, rather than having to be 'bent' over.

The reason I suggested that the socket would have to be angled down a few degrees is that the 90 degree plug could cause the cable to be TOO close to the part of the ear immediately above the socket.

I'll post pic's of the plugs I mean if I can find them.

distortion figures for the bass shelf. @100spl. (re comment on one of the previous pages about 2DD )
(found on the parent company forums
smily_headphones1.gif
)

wonder if THD or THD+N e.g. vs http://www.innerfidelity.com/images/DunuDN1000.pdf

The test must be doing with the same equipments .
And we are not going to offense other manufacturers .
So the comparison of  product to product should be tested by 3rd party as well.

The result above is to show that we have no regret on using dual 6mm to replace a bigger one.
And it's not a  gimmick too~

Introducing the LEAR's Handmade Acoustic Low Pass Filter inside the BD4.2 !

After we matched and paired the dynamic drivers for the BD4.2.(Even it is a tough work, but still not the toughest! )

We are step forward to the most difficult job - The making of LEAR's Handmade Acoustic Low Pass Filter for the dynamic driver!

Why not Electronic Low Pass Filter?

Because every passive electronic components has "impedance" . No matter the world's best capacitors or inductors, they all have ESR (Equivalent series resistance)and which will be works like adding with a series resistor and influence to the overall performance!

The Dynamic drivers inside the BD4.2 loves electric current, the bass part of music needs a lot of power! A suitable Passive Electronic Low Pass Filter not just required more of the space inside the earphone ,but also higher up the overall impedance ! It will be significantly limiting the current and power and also brings Distortion!

As you can see in the test result of using an inductor (just 1 inductor!) , which is already reducing the driver's sensitivity quite a lot,and it still needs to treat to achieve our goal of what a bass driver should be!

Say no to such a sacrifice and compromise!

The LEAR's Handmade Acoustic Low Passive Filter is born!

It has no compromise and sacrifice to the "Sound Quality and Sensitivity " , It works well for our dynamic driver and which has also a quite nice roll off slope of being an earphone's bass driver unit!

However, the trade off is...we must make it one by one and pair and match those one by one by LEAR!

What a nightmare ?!

Thank you for all your watching and support to LEAR!

If I had to choose my final IEM , I would vote for this Lear UIEM. That technology is just blowing my head.
