My impressions are going to cost me 50 bones Canadian which is rather expensive in my book. This Thursday is the big D day. I hope the impressions get done right.

That sounds in the ballpark. I paid $75 for mine, which was on the high side but the audiologist make a couple impressions of one ear because the first try didn't satisfy her; had I cheaped out elsewhere I might've had somebody who was indifferent about their work.

All these costs add up and have to be accounted for when you're buying customs, but it's much cheaper to pay more if it means getting them done right the first time, and it can mean a more satisfactory experience when you don't have to worry as much about it.

I've had my CIEMs for over two weeks and still have not been billed for customs charges. Does this mean I got off free or something?

Does any one have any idea about the Heir Audio service? I try to contact many times, but no one answer me. I have left Brannan 3 emails and Sunny 1 email already.

Service is best in the world. Mind you they are probably flat out with the Black friday sale (which was I believe a great success) and the great offer they have on the 8.a's (25 % off)

The guys from Heir are active on this thread and I am sure you can always sent a PM if need be.

Maybe just be patient and wait a few days. It is weekend afterall:)

Yes, I heard that they sold a ton of stuff for Black Friday. I am guessing they are buried in impressions. But the folks at Heir have always been very responsive.

Really? Because this is my first time to do business with Heir Audio, so I tend to be a bit over worried.
I try to contact Brannan because I want to make sure that if he get my ear impression already or not.

I'm seriously considering pulling the trigger on a pair of 4.Ai's, but I'm just a little worried about your warranty procedures. The site says 2 years, but is that for Can/US only? Or is it world wide? I live in Australia, and I'm seriously paranoid about spending 500+ on a pair of IEMs, even with a local Warranty. I'm not implying anything about the quality of Heir's products, obviously, but that safety net is something I'm concerned with, since I have neither the cashflow nor the emotional fortitude to buy such expensive products on a whim. :p

Also, since my thread got buried, can any head-fi'ers tell me if the Magnus 1 cable is worth paying the premium of the 4.Ai+?

Hmm, thanks very much for that, it's something to think about. Can anybody confirm if the 4.Ai+ Ships with JUST the Magnus 1 cable? Or does it come with both?

Last week, I finally got my 4.A back from repairs. The Wizard wanted to try some new stuff, so I said "Why not?" and as expected, the results are stunning. It's a simple design --- from afar, people won't be able to tell it from a typical deep blue color, but up close you can see that the Wizard added a little something extra. The picture doesn't really do the texture swirl of the acrylic justice, but it's the best I could do. I have to say, the printing on the MDSP + Serial Number is also improved over before. The lettering is high resolution, and really clean. Just when you think Heir can't get any better with their build quality, think again!

I live in the US, I can personally attest (with my 4.A and 8.A orders) that you have nothing to worry about.  Living in Australia, you are practically next door to a company that does not mess around when it comes to customer service.  You are in very good hands, literally, with the Wizard and company.  (I strive for excellence in my own work and hope for the same from everyone else).

As for the Magnus-1 cable, you can't go wrong.  It's a great magnitude more durable and ergonomic in every way than the standard "Westone" standard cable.
