My Ibasso Flash, Root and optimization thread has been updated. DX180, DX260,DX320,DX340 and thanks to Bloom being the GREAT company they are in future will have guides for DX260MK2 which will have Android 13, 665 SOC and support Battery Bypass. Bloom has agreed to loan me a unit since I do not plan on buying another DAP. Perfectly happy with DX340 which looks so good with SS polished. Highly recommend Bloom!!! I have trained them on how to Flash so many units sent in are able to be fixed right there in NJ and not sent to China.

Most optimization now done with Magisk modules - one for Max performance and one for battery life. You install both and only enable 1 at a time but you don't need a PC to change settings like with other solution available which does not require root. There is a module in my thread that will put Google Play into Optimized battery mode which you can then change to restricted to improve battery life which you can add to mine. All guides are links which makes keeping my thread up-to-date much easier. I have text files for those that want to copy and paste in batch to disable modules and not use the Windows app. I do have presets for Windows app for DX340 and will have them for DX260Mk2. I am going to try and get for them for DX320. Will have them for DX180 in a week. My solution is NOT copy righted so you can mod the modules code if you wish.

Link is in my signature. I am now able to remotely do most of the work for people but you must have a PC, not MAC. You will have to do a few things on DAP but they are simple. This requires phone call and Chrome Remote Desktop for me to connect to your PC.

For Ibasso DAPs NEVER do OTA/Local updates. ALWAYS FLASH!!!!!!!!!

I echo your thoughts on the hs2kmk3. One of my favorite IEMs and the best single DD I've heard. One of my favorite treble performances on any IEM too.
I've owned them thrice in the past and every time sold due to fit. If I ever strike again, I'll get their CIEM form- the ST2000 V2.
Oh, I wasn't aware there was a CIEM version. The ACT47 Pure silver chamber that comes with the HS2000 MKIII is magical. I fully recommend everyone to try it if you have a chance!

Got the opportunity to have a spin with this polish gem thanks to AudioGeek and Lime ears (THANKS) :

Lime Ears Terra
Screenshot 2025-05-18 at 04.39.36.png

Pros

- Rich, powerful bass and engaging midrange that make music lively and fun.

- Excellent fit and isolation, with lightweight, ergonomic shells.

- Build quality is top-notch, with a unique design and solid craftsmanship.

Con

- Bass is big and bold, but if you’re a detail fanatic or want super-wide soundstage, it might not fully satisfy.

First Impressions

Lime Ears Terra is an hybrid driver setup (1 titanium dynamic + 5 balanced armatures) and a bunch of unique tech like the TiTE module and VariBore design. The shells are lightweight and fit snugly(on me), offering great comfort and isolation for long listening sessions. The overall build feels premium, and the opal faceplates is pretty cool in person.

Fit & Comfort

The Terra is easy to wear thanks to its ergonomic shape and light shells. Isolation is excellent-great for commutes or noisy environments. Some might find the shell(and nozzle) size a bit large, but most will get a secure, flush fit.

Sound

- Bass:

Terra delivers deep, punchy, and textured bass that’s both powerful and controlled. The titanium driver gives the lows a warm, organic feel without muddiness. Sub-bass is present but not overwhelming-enough to enjoy rumble, but not for hardcore bassheads.

- Mids:

Mids are clear, natural, and slightly forward, making vocals and instruments pop. There’s good separation, so nothing feels crowded or masked by the bass. The midrange is musical and engaging, perfect for those who like a lively sound.

- Treble:

Treble is smooth, airy, and has just enough energy to keep things lively without getting harsh or fatiguing. The HERO super tweeter extends highs well, but the very top end rolls off gently, so it’s never piercing.

Summary

Lime Ears Terra is a well-rounded, musical IEM with standout bass, engaging mids, and a smooth treble. It’s built to last, fits comfortably, and works great for daily listening-especially if you want something fun and full-bodied rather than ultra-analytical. If you love a dynamic, energetic sound with a premium feel, Terra is definitely worth checking out.

APX SE is by far the best overall IEM I’ve heard

Are those the Acoustune tips? I used those too as the APX SE is on the slightly smaller side for me. What I like about double flange tips is the guarantee of the best possible bass from an IEM!

I sold my APX only because of fit issues, they didn’t sit securely in my ears and kept falling out. Now I’m a bit frustrated thinking that double flange tips might’ve actually solved the problem, since I’ve never tried that type of tips before:worried:
