Has anyone used a PW audio first times cable? (plain is not the shield) . I would like to know if its technical performance such as the black background, the clarity, the details, the resolution and the size of the stage are among the best?

Not much excitement going on in my audio world, but the leather case for my SP3000T arrived. 😂

Worth the cost just for black widow look 🕷️ 😏
But does it give you the capability to use the SP3K's battery as a taser?

It better have that if its aiming for Black Widow

I haven't even started watching yet, and I can already feel his pain.

Have a look through twisters reviews, he compared FT with a few other cables a while ago.

Was watching the CJ Shanghai preview video from Head-Fi and to quote "you know those watercooler guys, they just love rolling the cables on their IEM's"

Well I'm rolling Hugo2 adapters.

From the vanilla adapter to the Orpheus on the Hugo2. If you're familiar with the interconnect, you'll be familiar with the sound. A rich bass and low mid timbre. That analogue, laid back but smooth mids. Coherent balance. Only the briefest of listens. But I'm looking forward to more time with this.

How's the sound difference from the vanilla adapter all the way to the Orpheus?

Slowly but surely the cycle is completing, as the inadequacy of portable DAPs begins to become apparent with newer IEM releases, people are starting to dip their toes back into desktop and especially transportable setups. When I first got into this people were stacking Dacs/amps and sources in giant tri-bricks and carrying them around in small bags. Now that fanny packs worn sideways are the trend(cringe) many of you will be able to do the same and still be trendy. It goes in cycles so I think we could see a return of stacking. Meanwhile I never left the transportable realm and have had the same DAC/AMP probably since I made this account and probably still have better audio quality than any DAP. Fads come and go, it's all a cycle but I will say the IEMs have dramatically improved since then when the spiral ears SE5 ultimate was king.

And the king has returned as well, Spiral Ears with the new SE6 Nebula, back to dethrone everyone after what, 10 years?

How? If IEMs have very demanding power requirements or only sound good on certain sources then that’s where the inadequacy lies…not the daps. IMHO
