Arooj Aftab really is one of the voices I can listen to endlessly. Even though I understand not a single word, still very moved by them.
Her new album just released:

Just magic
She's incredible. The ultimate "vocal test" for any gear. Just a mesmerizing voice.

Meanwhile I’m sitting here wondering why so many of you don’t use an ad blocker…
Backfire, I used ad blocker for years until recently, many websites refused my visit once they detected the use of ad blocker. I started to whitelist some websites, but the list grows too fast and I eventually just removed the ad blocker and totally gave up.

I haven’t had this issue yet. 🤞🏽

I joked about this the other day, but I’ve not seen 1 ad on HeadFi, except for the Classifieds. And near zero on many other sites either for that matter…

Well the income of ads probably helps head-fi, so why block 😅

I just ignore it

Cheers to Wing at Minidisc for a nice little meet in Melbourne today.

Met a few cool people but had to scoot when the crowd grew 😅

Enjoyed the Symphonian Titan and testing out the Cayin N3 Ultra

No doubt some of the more sociable attendees will give nicer updates, lol

Thanks, just signed up.

Wondering why she did not start new album in English since she already started her career here in US for 10 years.
Because her English has an accent and so play to the strengths of Indian classical singing?

Got a Trifecta?

She arrived in US when she was 19 almost 20 years ago and received music education in Boston before she started her career in NYC, it is definitely just her choice.

Aah interesting. I hadn't heard of her though I speak Hindi. Curious about the market she caters to.
