Wow you are fine with the FW included cable? I think sound wise is allright but i cant stand how microphonic it is.
Yep i think its sound and ergonomic are great, comfortable to wear for long listening, still look a little bit cheap though. To be honest cables for iem there are too many and i don’t have a chance to try one by one to find out which one is matching better with fw than stock cable that’s why im still stuck with it 😂

Thank you for sending these suggestions, will take a look at there catalog.

I guess im just jealous of all those amazing looking ZMF headphones (the razin mixed once also look really nice). A zmf style design for IEM’s would be cool. With a “custom” metalwork design for the 2 pin connector.

Something about wood that appeals to me
If you want a real wood IEM, Jerry Harvey is by far and away the master if this craft. I'm yet to see wood and metal IEMs as beautiful as the ones he makes. The 'Copper Waves' (not wood, but still) is probably the most beautiful IEM I've ever seen. I'm yet to hear a JH IEM I like though, so there's that...

1000%. Shout out to AJ DiMambro, who’s their head of design and basically spearheaded this new era of theirs.

I've so many great pairings, but this one is the more recent one so...

Spartacus-RU7.jpg

@Tanalasta tells me OTL is an even better cable for Spartacus, I'll just have to slum it with Raph for now while I have it for a tour.

I'm back at my desk with the Bf2/Jot2 as I write this, which gives Spartacus even more depth and stage size, but the RU7 is a fantastic on-the go, or at-the-breakfast-table option.

How’s that penon impact holding up today !? 👀

Still one of the best mids for my preferences, and why I decided I didn’t need Ronin. Superb synergy with Tsuranagi.

Currently being ever so slightly sidelined - along with all my other IEMs - by the Voltage.

I prefer wood but my personal favourite metal shell is this one:

I think Noble uses the technique to make those, yet not with real wood (or maybe I just dont know them)
Real wood. Better still: You can have your connectors in wood all the same and pick your own type for both connectors and the IEMs.

Not the best picture.

Very much enjoy OTL. There’s little doubt a flagship cable can fine tune and improve the technicalities of a capable IEM. Tighter, well textured but still authorative bass. Improved clarity etc…

What am I enjoying? Reposting a photo.

Are those from Legacy Ears? The metalwork I’ve seen from them is stunning.

If Legacy Ears is the new operating name for TXN of Vietnam, then yes! This was a set I was looking to purchase last year but it never materialised for a number of reasons. Absolutely stunning craftsmanship.
