With the ramen analogy, there’s a restaurant where I live that does fresh truffle when it’s season. On ramen. Just saying.
Speaking about the things that really do matter I’ve recently tried truffle ramen for the second time - and OMG this is awesome, I could it it once a day everyday easily 😂

I do think your observations are valid. I come here mostly for the high end gear discussions and would skip mid-fi stuff which admittedly will get less attention in grand scheme of things. Essentially nothing wrong with that to be clear

At the same time I didn’t find any of your comments impolite, rather eloquent and respectful, and I struggle to understand where those attacks came from in your direction

Feedback and criticism are different things and it is easy to misconstrue intent on a written forum without verbal and facial cues. Suggesting change with the wrong words then comes across as bold or negative. Thinking the cooler trends to expensive new releases is perhaps not a unique opinion. So personally I would not suggest rip it up or change the name or affect things in some way. It perhaps takes more effort but influence through regular, consistent positivity and sharing - post after post

I remember leaving CanJam London 2022 and thinking Letshuoer would sell a fair amount of the S12 model (as has transpired, S12 Pro since released). Fair play Letshuoer came back for 2023, not many budget SE Asia brands would exhibit thousands of miles away in an expensive city. For my own part after near two decades on head-fi, avoiding gear hoarding is a legitimate objective. That is just personal circumstances, not elitism for not revisiting a budget IEM demo

Honestly, it is easier for blog owners or YouTube influencers to write about the budget IEMs. For normal people outside the review sample circle, it would cost thousands to review 'budget' IEMs. Or holiday in Singapore/Japan where everything is on the shelf to demo. I actually looked into buying a budget IEM with my own money from Amazon UK or Elise Audio so Amsterdam attendees could have at it. I was overwhelmed with 20x models all with the same sized 'unique' dynamic or planar driver, but slight tuning subtleties. That idea was discarded :relaxed:

Will Elysian Dio always leave? Is it still under construction?
Their current estimate is somewhere next year. I appreciate them taking their time with a big flagship release, to be honest.

Hey all, does anyone know who owns the recode squig? https://recode.squig.link/?share=tz700

I would like to contact him to know his opinions on a iem in his graph database. Please help.

The DC Elite hisses when used with mobile phone in my observations. And IEMatch is for volume spikes, not necessarily for noise reduction.

How does the source affect whether the DC hisses or not ? I assume you mean phone vs DAP vs Computer ?

The advertising for IEMatch and conversation with the gentleman that designed it originally, indicates it is fundamentally intended to reduce hiss with sensitive IEM on amplifiers with a noise floor that is audible due to the impedance and sensitivity of the IEM.

Can you please explain what volume spikes it protects against. I don’t follow what you mean, where is the volume spike coming from ?

Alright it's been a while since we've done any sort of survey. Now that we're 1/3 and two CanJams into 2024 what are the top 3-5 things on your radar right now?

For myself:

1) Elysian Pilgrim Noir - Loved the OG, Noir sounds even more up my alley
2) Elysian Dio-- not really a potential buy for me, but I'm dying to heari it.
3) Melodic Artification Alter Ego -- This one was a show highlight for a very diverse range of folks-- I'm quite interested in hearing it.
4) iBasso PB5-- I'm not really a dongle or portable Amp guy but I might eventually jump on one of these just to try it.
5) An EE prototpe I heard rumours about along the lines of an updated LX-- anyone have any more info on that?
1. Subtonic Storm. Crazy that Subtonic had never entered the Chinese market. I mean, you can't find a SINGLE impression/review on chinese forums, given its popularity in the west. If they promoted in China guess 300 Storms could be sold at 10k within an hour.

2. Beat Audio Orbit Saga. Yes insane price, but insane technicalities - makes one's iems holographic with exceptional resolution. It does somewhat tilt bright, but well-controlled without sibilance. Wonder how it will fare with Sovereignty, yet nonetheless a TOTL cable.

3. L&P LP6ti AE. Never really had the opportunity to hear it, yet I see multiple big names own it as their end-game DAP. Would be great to have users sharing your impressions! :L3000:
