Also, did anyone get to try the SoftEars x Effect Audio Enigma?

Looking for more feedback to see if I should run a tour for this one.

Fun little experiment with the Sennheiser Hearing Test. What did you get? Tested both with a TWS and the HD 600 in direct succession and got the same result twice.

New case today from Harbor Freight. $40. A bit of overkill for my needs but very sturdy indeed.

So you think you know the more correct sound than the actual IEM maker? Maybe you like a different sound but that guy said it's the correct sound the brands don't ship with.

Either aroma doesn't know what they're doing or they have a different business model.

Wouldn't you say it makes sense that if someone is selling a $5,000 IEM they would try to put their best foot forward with what you receive in the box in regards to the actual sound? Or at the very least their correct sound?

Or maybe aroma just made a mistake. Because that would make more sense than saying a huge number of IEMs are shipped with an incorrect cable to get the intended sound.
FitEar DC Ti are sold without cable.

64 Audio (and many other brands) sell "premium upgrade cable" https://www.64audio.com/collections/cables-and-adaptors/products/the-eight-braid-silver-cable

IMO the only brand which is doing an amazing job in selling the cable with the best synergy with their IEM is Rhapsodio.

Do the traditional 7/11 style
couplers not have an 8khz peak due to canal length and are considered unreliable from 8khz and up? That's what I read about them at least and that's why this new high end measuring is becoming the new standard.
The res peak is more of a bug than a feature. The 711 couplers are notoriously less accurate than we used to believe. Myself and most other people who use them use the 8k peak as more of way to help standardize the measurements. We can align the peaks at 8k then we can better compare the rest of the graphs. It's not really anything other than a marker. I would mostly assume that 711c measurements are accurate to like 4500hz and "accurate" is a strong word at that. It's more of a tool for broad strokes then real deep meaningful analysis.

When you get into how those measurements look and then try to recreate them in our ears, it's usually anyone's guess what happens, especially in the treble.

Most people use pelican sort of cases for their full size headphones. In your case, you just successfully turned portable into something not so portable :). Of course, if you have to bring so many stuff, portability is no longer there.

Thank you for your attention to my post. How much is your gold-plated silver cable? What is its exact name? Does it improve treble clearly?
Don't know if can buy just the cable.. it came with my Fatfreq Grand Maestro, But also tried with the Lavricables Master line and the Grand(more expensive) both top notch with the Singularity!!

My son who is a professional photographer was visiting today from Columbus and took pictures throughout the eclipse, intending to make a collage. So I didn't need to do anything except watch. Truly a life-changing experience.

Thanks for sharing! I’m a photography enthusiast and missed the opportunity. 1) I’m not in the path of totality and 2) I was stuck in a work meeting to even see the eclipse at all.

Very good pic, you can see the flares/coronal ejections very easily, would you mind if linked to your post above on another forum?

I’d have that pic as my screensaver
