Based on your preference of headphones, I’d stick with black or silver and try foam ear tips. Strange you’re ok with the utopia that’s very forward in that 4-6k range and can easy get shouty depending on your chain. What DAP are you using with the Rn6? U12t is an all BA IEM that like the utopia does not have very strong bass presence but more natural level and the BA treble in the U12t is much softer then both the Rn6 and the Utopia. Surprised by the Utopia that headphone can get me on occasion depending on the chain.

Thanks for the reply. I’m using a DX320 Max with a PB5. I even sold my ZMF Caldera because I thought the treble was too sharp at times and proved fatiguing to my ears; too bad, sadly, as I loved the overall timbre- drums and guitars sounded soooo good. The Utopia with a solid bass boost does the trick for me. Although, I may entertain another pair of ZMF closed backs in the future.

I also find BCD's to be a clear upgrade, super hyped for Aroma to come out with their own version-hopefully a ripoff of UM because I think UM do it best with regard to BCD but I prefer Aroma for tuning. BCD Fei wan.

Sidenote, my cat knocked my Jewels off the standing desk and shattered the left one. damn. I ordered through Andrew @ MT, is the way to go about getting it fixed to contact him or Aroma directly? Went back to my A18t's for meow, wow I dislike this signature so much more than my Jewels. Ouchie. Jewel has that subbass hit, A18t just doesn't.

Well. I’m exchanging the Rn6s for Volurs. I have the Rn6s another shot and there was just too much energy in the trouble. Couldn’t take it. That, and I ordered a bunch of ear tips to try. Hope it’ll work. If not, I’m done with IEMs! lol

I'm a little surprised too, to be honest, despite it being my personal favorite IEM. Though I will also admit to no small amount of satisfaction in seeing it there. Part of it has to be how unique it is-- there isn't anything else like it, whereas for pretty much any other IEM on there there is at least one other that is vaguely similar.

Interesting, I was demoing both in CanJam and my clear preference is on Caldera. Beside the sounding, Caldera is good on both tube and SS amp, but VC sounds meh on SS and has to use a tube amp.
