the Dita Perpetua

That price though.

I have half a mind to order the TZ700 on Amazon just to try it.

Yesterday got a chance to audition the Oriolus Perciveli(forgive the wrong spelling here please). Well, as much as I loved the Isabellae from them, Perceiveli is something I couldn't connect much with. I could appreciate the clean presentation, the instruments were well-defined, and the resolution was very good too. But I felt there was no balance between the frequencies. The presentation was overall very spacious, but it was feeling hollow to my ears. Maybe I expected more after just listening to the 64Audio Tia Fourte :/ Forgive my huge hands in the image hehehe

I didn't connect with Perci either for coherence reasons-- it felt like you were listening to two different IEMs at once.

TZ700 is legit. One of the best single DD sets I've heard. Deep powerful bass, sweet mids and controlled highs. Hard to believe it is a single driver producing the sound. If single DDs are your thing, it's well worth checking out. Shame Technics aren't very active on the IEM front.

Penon Vortex - great sound vs price. Very small and slightly unusual shaped set which I'd imagine anyone with big ears will struggle to get a fit with. Impressive what's available in this price range now.

Final A4000 - not my cup of tea but another impressive set for what it's retailing at. Clean, detailed and lean is how I would describe it.

Long time no see man hope you've been well.

In other news visiting some family in the Okanagan and am really appreciating the delayed strawberry season this year-- fresh picked strawberries are so much better than their supermarket equivalent it's astounding.

The leather smells good and feels robust. The buttons click in pretty tight. I like that there is a second button to fasten the case.

The inside compartments leave just enough room for my N8ii / Shanling UP5, 2 IEMs + [ accessories or 3rd IEM ] .

This is nice because it fixes my OCD. I can now carry my IEMs and two DAPs all in one case.

Very nice!

I noticed that Miter now also has a case for a DAP and two IEMs. Also a nice option.

Yeah Perpetua a lot of money for sure. I'd happily shift some gear and aim for it if I knew more about it, very few impressions at the moment which I guess isn't surprising.

Yes TZ700 is risk free via Amazon, great to have the return option.

Is Supermoon now available as a universal? Still high on my radar.

Fantastic fresh strawberries, we have them in abundance at the moment too - this part of Ireland is famous for them.

I heard the Perpetua in Chicago. I really liked it. Has the classical DD timre, but it did extend nicely in both direction. Has great clarity. That's all I remember. I am going to listen to it again. I am going to decide between Advar and Perpetua. I like them both, but I want to A/B test them.

Senn HD800S: something that I wish to own to complement my ZMF Auteur, but currently I am saving up for another premium multi-BA set(preferrable U12T). HD800S will join my arsenal someday, love this for its soundstage and detailing. Hate it for its slightly lean tonality.

Yes, I'm not a fan of the lean tonality, either, but a lush, warm, and slightly wet tube amp helps with this.

Ireland so beautiful when the sun is shining, which it doesn't do enough! But alas, it wouldn't be so green if not for our wet and cooler climate...

This and a previous photo you posted reminded me of my days in Wales. Here's Rhossili Bay, a short drive from where I lived (not my pic, though). I miss the green of this part of the world.

I just came home from the Sennheiser office here in my city(we have the main India Branch office in Delhi). They had arranged an audio meetup of audio lovers for the official launch of IE600 which happened recently. Since I got the pair a few days back, but I had to go and meet fellow audio lovers, I joined them and got to audition a lot of amazing gears. Gears that I auditioned today with a short impression of them:-

Shanling MG600: Rich and lush sound I must say. Stage depth is something I loved the most on this set.
Meze Advar: Well, again a lush presentation but a little bit extra warmth to its tonality. I must say, the drum beats feel so authorized on this set.
Senn IE600: I posted my review a few days back, love this set, instrument separation, detail retrieval, soundstage, everything feels great for the price!!
Senn HD800S: something that I wish to own to complement my ZMF Auteur, but currently I am saving up for another premium multi-BA set(preferrable U12T). HD800S will join my arsenal someday, love this for its soundstage and detailing. Hate it for its slightly lean tonality.
Senn HD820: Hmmmm, Shrilling maybe, couldn't connect much :/
F Audio Dark Sky: Well this is good. Amazing body in the bass region, vocals also sound clean and precise, treble has a nicely detailed and airy presentation. I don't find this pair offensive at all, rather has a safe profile. Got this for auditioning at home from @AceBee.
Senn IE900: A lot more Spacious, A little more resolution to the IE600.
Ummm all these are what I can remember hehe.

May want to add ZMF Atrium to your audition list. It has wide stage and much better tonality than the HD800S. And, it is different sounding than the Auteur.

I agree with the tube amp recommendation from earlier.

Outside of the HK LE run, no, and apparently they don’t plan to either based off of my emails with them last week. They will be doing a planar hybrid universal, I think it was leaked already as a planar/BA setup.

I'm on a local Advar tour so I'll get to hear it in a few weeks. Only way to try Perpetua though will be if I buy!

I love the Advar. It is so nicely built. Sounds great, too.

Was the Turii Ti at CanJam? Another I'm equally curious about but again, an expensive blind buy with very few impressions.

That's a shame, I guess it'll remain a mystery to me!

Not sure. That was not on my radar, so I didn't look for it.
