It depends on the DAP, with TSU. Generally speaking, I think TSU is a bit more pronounced in the treble therefore it does work well for me with R2R. Euclid tends to do its thing regardless of DAP which is great, though it tends to contain a bit of the DD’s largeness to my ears. Soundstage is nice and large with it though, and everything else is where it needs to be.

that said, the cable I use the most is the basic, Timestream Duet. It’s a bit softer overall and I feel it embodies Clara’s spirit … it’s the cable we used to tune it.
Thanks, that helps a lot.I was thinking about an upgrade cable for my incoming Trifecta and if TSU enhances treble then it's a no for me. Was looking for Hifihawaii's suggestions, but the cable of his choice is over $4k :).

I think it’s not necessarily what it would do on Trifecta. Clara has a dual BA for the treble, mounted right at the spout, shooting straight into your ear.
Any change will reflect much more intensely than in other IEMs especially when designed differently. I enjoy TSU with my Trifecta, I have to say.

My guess is not enough tinkering. I was initially not happy, mids seemed too far away from my liking, too V shaped. Then I changed cables, played with tips and now, the dfiference is astounding. I have never heard anything like this and I dont ever see myself selling. Its stupid good and I highly doubt much else is on this level except for Fugaku which I cannot confirm since I haven't heard it. Having been in this hobby for 10 years, hearing numerous IEMs, there comes along one every couple years which raises the bar, APX SE is certainly that one. I'm so happy with what I'm hearing. Their loss.
My first impression in apx se back then was like, this is not worth the price , what is this....

After rollin cables and tips and some burn time. Now DIZ IZIT... 🤣

Yes indeed 😂 - I defaulted to my preference for in the fridge at home for the fridge where we are staying!

Here are some shots of more local beers 🍻

An IPA tonight from Killarney, another town in County Kerry.

And a Guinness last night…

Oh and the local ice cream earlier today:

We’ve not been yet but a very famous Irish pub here in Dingle… plan to drop in tomorrow.

Last but definitely not least, this was where my love for Dingle began over 32 years ago when I first came here with two friends on a hostel trip - the building looks much the same and I’m pretty sure we stayed in the middle room upstairs.

Oh man, I rarely post in this thread, but this one got me. My partner's Irish, so there are some experiences and places that get me. Got got.

Ignore my CDs, but Ari has broken a lot of firsts for me. This time, using a kilobuck DAP as a transport.

1AM2 > Ari > Cardas Clear > Utopia

They pair well?

With the 1Z? Insanely well. The WM1Z shines with CFA IEMs generally.

On somewhat of a tangent. I was thinking today how back in the OG walkman days all the effort went into the source and transducers were pretty much an afterthought that was chucked into the box. These days it's pretty much accepted as a truism that the transducer is the most important and influential component in the chain. All of that said the WM1Z would probably get my vote as the single greatest portable audio product of the last 10 years.
