No no It was supposed to be 2 x 15mm drivers in a push-pull configuration and enclosed with 2 passive radiatorsI mean... a 30mm driver in an IEM would be the most ridiculous looking and giant IEM ever.

Ti and Isa, mainly. There is so much I want to try thats been released already.
I’ve been looking at the JH stuff. They need more than one uni. And maybe it can be comparably priced? That would be nice. Why so much more?
And they look weird. An elliptical box with a spout. As long as they are comfortable and sound good, I guess I don’t care, just was something I took away. Would be nice to be able to customize the uni shells a bit?

Honestly for me, not a whole lot right now. What upcoming releases are people excited about? I'm curious about the n6ii Ti and possibly a Jolene uni...that's about it though.
I have the n6ii R01 on order. Im hoping theres a noticeable difference from the A01 and E01 I already own, but I honestly still have yet to be convinced that different dacs and amps make enough of a difference to really warrant some of the sky high prices people pay. So should essentially be the same as the n6ii Ti... though honestly, not a huge fan of the Ti color scheme, especially the gold colored volume and track buttons.
As far as IEMs go specifically... I am kind of at a point where I just don't really know what more I can get out of continuing to buy/collect/hoard them. I am very satisfied with what I have right now. High end stuff is just too expensive to keep chasing. Mid range stuff likely won't offer enough to make it worth it. But... cheap stuff. Yea, finding some great super high value cheap IEMs that are comfortable... I might be into that, though nothing specifically comes to mind. Would be great to dethrone my two high end IEMs, but I just dont feel like Im missing anything at the moment, so I dont have the desire to keep chasing something that I think I may have already found more than once.
Other than that... and I know these arent upcoming releases...
Isabellae. Still want to hear it, but the tuning doesn't quite seem like its for me based on impressions. I worry about the shape and size of the shell, and as I said about midrange offerings above, if it doesnt do something truly unique in a way that works for me, it likely wont get used much. And I just dont have the desire to go through the whole buying and selling song and dance right now.
Same with the IE900. Really want to hear it. Just don't know if its going to offer anything above and beyond what I already have.
Would love to hear the trailli, if only to just say I have heard it and to either see what people are talking about or confirm to myself that I don't need to spend $6k to get some kind of tiny minimal "improvement". I have a hunch theres a lot of confirmation bias and post purchase justification going on (not saying its not a great iem). So I do want to hear them. But I have no desire or plans to spend that much on a single IEM, so I would never buy it anyways, even in the unlikely event that they completely live up the crazy hype for me.

Lol I just glanced at it earlier...it's pretty funny when you give it a close read. It's funny and scary how easy it is to make up total nonsense in this hobby that's half believable.

I assumed it was a headphone actually.

I've yet to hear a JH yet and the Jolene seems like a great candidate. I'm not really into customizable unis though...I don't like the idea of paying extra for anything not related to sound.

Looking forward to impressions on this...it's probably too much for me to consider purchasing a new n6ii...unless reports come in that it tops the M8 somehow. I love the new sleek color scheme actually. YMMV.

Variety lmao...but I know what you mean. I'm kind of at a similar point where I've got all the main bases of my tastes covered and I've tried pretty much everything out there that interests me.

I don't think you'd be satisfied with the level of bass in the Isabellae. In fact I'm almost positive you wouldn't.

I've heard enough mixed reviews about the mids on the IE900 that I'm pretty much spooked from buying one new, given its price.

I would love to hear it but I'm not convinced its midrange timbre would satisfy me like Ely's and Isa's do.
I just got the Zero Mezzo a couple of days ago. Holy cow! Unbelievably good!Suspect the trickling down effect from the Traillii maybe? Covering some of the R&D cost. The Isa hopefully will start a new trend, where companies propose their best value products to the market. And more people could participate voicing their votes. It's a better trend IMO than flagships with rocketing prices.
I gave my ZB-03 and Mezzo to my friends, and bought a new one. SQ-wise, the Mezzo doesn't sound like it's $50 at all. I keep forgetting that..
It is one of the joy in this hobby I think, to try out and discover different kinds of tuning/ideas

I’m listening to ‘Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith” and her music is really fun to listen to on IEMs.
Just thought I’d throw that out there.

I unfortunately won't have anything to compare the R01 to other than the other two n6ii motherboards I have. And truthfully, I'm not expecting much. I do just hope there's something new and interesting there. I'm of the mind that dacs/amps (and by extension daps) are just a small percent of the final sound.Looking forward to impressions on this...it's probably too much for me to consider purchasing a new n6ii...unless reports come in that it tops the M8 somehow. I love the new sleek color scheme actually. YMMV.

Yeah variety... I dunno, I'm feeling a little jaded at this point. And I think finally getting customs may have been the start of the end for me. Can't sell them without a huge loss, so that whole game of buying and selling has lost some appeal. I am still quite interested to hear your thoughts on the Jolene if you can ever get your hands on them or when the uni comes out.
I'll take your word about the Isa, probably for the best that I cancelled my preorder.
I think from what I have heard about the ie900 that with your focus on midrange it's probably not for you. But I haven't heard them. Still interested.
Oh forgot to mention... The custom art go one. That one has piqued my interest. Heard good things about the fibae black but as a single ba, meh... But a dynamic driver version with a wireless cable as default? Yeah... I had it in my cart and almost ordered. Cheap enough too that I think it would fit into the price range I would seek out at the moment.
EVE21 of courseWhat upcoming releases are people excited about? I'm curious about the n6ii Ti and possibly a Jolene uni...that's about it though.
If you don't mind bullet-shaped IEMs, thr Carbo Mezzo I think would be a good option. It's kinda similar in its sound signature with Nio M15. DD bass, with sweet but not so sparkly vocalsBut... cheap stuff. Yea, finding some great super high value cheap IEMs that are comfortable... I might be into that, though nothing specifically comes to mind. Would be great to dethrone my two high end IEMs,
I'm sorry to say this, to the guy who said it'd make Ely redundant, it won't. Trailli may be good for experiencing orchestra or tracks with lots of instruments, with its excellent layering and huge holographic stage. But for listening to simple classic guitar with vocals the Ely and Isa, with their more intimate presentation and woody natural notes would be more suitable in my opinion. Trailli is a good all-rounder, and excels at both technicalities and musicality don't get me wrong. It portrays vocals very well. But comparing its BA midrange to DD won't be fair IMHO. Each offers something unique, making them no superior to one another in an absolute senseI would love to hear it but I'm not convinced its midrange timbre would satisfy me like Ely's and Isa's do.
It is, right?! I'm also quite surprised to discover that sometimes for listening at night, I prefer the Carbo Mezzo for its less technical and more relaxed presentation. It scales well with higher-powered source too. Making the sound overall tighter and more defined. The bass as well is pretty satisfyingI just got the Zero Mezzo a couple of days ago. Holy cow! Unbelievably good!

Just thought I’d throw that out there.
That song reminds me of one of my trippier trips to another dimension lol There was a huge snake there too. I think it's called something like the 'world serpent'. I could only get a glimpse of its belly because it's so big
I think so too. The Isa won't be suitable for those seeking large bass. Its main attraction I think lies more in its vocals and treble.I'll take your word about the Isa, probably for the best that I cancelled my preorder.

The IE900 on the other hand I think would be more suitable for bass-seekers. It's not at the level of Odin though, but its sub-bass sounded pretty good. As for the mids, I think it'd suit those who like the previous Sennheiser iterations, due to its upgraded (resolution, reach, smoothness) house/signature sound.
