Having a conversation with yourself?
I do that to, not normally out loud though.
Sometimes I even beat myself up because I find my own answers to offensive! It's always great fun to be me! 👹

But it was in response to:
Wait what? You are in the audio product selling business?
Were.
Am I looking at getting back in? Hmm... Can't answer that one yet.

I usually just do not understand my answer.
So I ask again, eventually I fall asleep.

Just got home from the mainland and this was waiting for me. 5 minute impressions are excellent tuning. It sounds like something I've heard before. Excellent clarity. Build quality is pretty cheap which I should have expected from a $200 IEM. Bass elevation is good, but quality is not top tier. Mids are excellent and the star of this show. Treble tuning is not fatiguing, nor sibilant. I like them, but they are not blowing me away like Indigo did. I did expect that though, so I may have expectation bias in the wrong direction.

A/B testing them against Oriolus Isabellae and ISA wins by a lot. Bass quality, transients and timbre are far better with Isabellae.

The reason I am A/B testing with Isa is because I thought I heard them before. I thought maybe it sounded like the IER-M9, but I compared the graphs and the Timeless is closer to the Isa with more subbass. But, they don't sound alike at all.

A/B tested it against the IER-M9. Not even close. M9 is way better.

The 7hz timeless is great for a $200 IEM. It has great and pleasant tuning, but it does not have any punch and slam which ironically is the same problem that planar headphones have. Great clarity in the mids and non-harsh treble.

I've heard enough. I am sending them back.

I wanna echo any and all enthusiasm towards the SR25ii-- it's a sleek, compact little player with incredible battery life and a smooth, balanced highly resolving sound. Most importantly it sounds great with all my IEMs and it's an AK with 4.4...what's not to love. M8 is still my at-home player but SR25ii is so much easier to carry around-- and the sound is good enough that I don't miss the M8 too much...which is very important for me.

That's the same feeling I had when I first experienced planars at SoCal 2017 CanJam while listening to Stax and Audeze stuff. Sounds good but just no feeling for me. Haven't cared for planar magnetics since.
