I am thinking of a Tier List video…well, four to be precise…one for IEMs, one for headphones, another for amps and a last one for DACs. For the sake of research:

What are your top 10 IEMs and headphones for 2023?

Just trying to cast a wide net so I don’t miss anything good.

Sure. The iems rank changes on my tastes, so don’t take the order as literal.

For iPhone 15 users that wants to get aptX Adaptive High Quality, I've done a test with the USB-C Creative BT-W5 dongle and my B&O H95 headphone supporting aptX HQ and it works perfectly!
The led is solid purple which means that I'm connected with aptX Adaptive High Quality mode selected. Max bit depth is 24 bits and max sample rate is 96 kHz. Listening to Qobuz.
Dongle can't be used with Apple case, you need to remove it to connect into the iPhone USB-C connector.

To all the Singularity owners, if you can, please try these iems with Earmen Angel. That's a match made in heaven. I had never imagined the Singularity to pair so well with this dac/amp. It has better synergy with the Angel than the LPGT and even the A&K SP3K. Please try to demo this pairing if possible. The Angel has a bright profile and is quite powerful, both of which are added advantages for the IEMs. And there is some other magic happening that I am really unaware of, and the pairing sounds like an end-game setup.

That's a cable from D's Audio (HongKong).

The cable is called Black Wind Plus. It comes with a Furutech 4.4 jack. It's a shielded copper cable. Very much comparable to the 1960s and 1950s shielded with a price much lower than the both.

I have a number of IEMs on their way to me right now (Fei Wan, a couple of Canpurs, the new Custom Art, Perpetua, Cascara, Electron 12) so this list is likely premature for me (and I'll be doing something similar in a year end poll down the road)...but for the time being here goes (no particular order):

Rn6
Bonneville
Trifecta
Amber Pearl
Viking Damascus
Electron 12
Monachaa
Traillii

Runners up, notes, and honorable mentions:

Singularity (would be on this list, save the fit)
VEX (if this was a little closer to the proto I heard in NYC it could have been number 1)
Storm (top tier IEM but outside of the range of my preferences)
Perpetua (I suspect this will make this list once I hear it)
