Damn, coming after the raven and Ragnar with that driver count 😯!! Looks wild
We'll have to see. Their hybrids don't get nearly the love their single driver types do. But at that price I expect some greatness. Especially if it's dual Neodymium dynamic drivers in the Turii baskets.

Brilliant IEM with quite a unique tuning and some of the best technical performance in the game even by today's standards. Won't please everyone, but that's the point. Not harsh or fatiguing despite the elevated treble, and excellent bass quality if a little lean for my liking. One of the greats imo.

PS. Contrary to many I prefer it over the Noir variant, which is too warm and thick for my liking and loses some of the OG wow factor as a result.

PPS. I'm really keen to read comparisons between Fourte and Volür.

There is just one outlier in my collection, the infamous JH Audio Jolene. With 4 small DDs it's technically proficient, yes... but the DDs do not sound satisfying AND the tuning is completely out of whack. That's one CIEM that just lies in the closet and is NEVER used.
Hmmm... I understand how Jolene could be confusing in terms of tuning... the bass is "dry" with a heavy bias to subs and it's fast and snappy not your typical DD fat and hard hitting mid bass slam even at full bass throttle (although properly powered it really is another story... N30 with Tube Classic has revived Jolene for me big time...).

The mids are special if you're into electric guitars... oh my! but the tuning is on the leaner side and most people will be taken aback with 4DD expecting big fat bass and thicker fuller mids. It's a bit of a specialist and no (easy) cable rolling is a weakness but for Rock, Blues and Metal I love Jolene personally... it has a huge soundstage especially height and despite the leaner bass and mids it has a speaker like quality still. A bit like a V12 roaring but not soaring through RPMs...

Sharona might be what people expected to begin with :p
It has this slam, fuller mids and let me say up top the RAU supertweeter doesn't disappoint...

Wow, my first Canjam is in full swing. First stop @MusicTeck who has almost everything I want to try but can't afford...time to camp out. 2 hours in and I've knocked out:

1. UM Amber Pearl: listened thru my P6Pro, the N30s were occupied. Beautiful, sounds like MM but looks nicer and you'll pay for it.

2. EE Raven: With its potential build issues aside, this one hits hard with BC feeling really effective. Loved it.

3. VE/AK Aura: Nothing wrong with this IMHO, everything sounds great thru the FR, nice but tuning is not exciting me like others.

4. Softears Enigma: was interested to hear this as I own a Tremolo. It's definitely better than Tremolo, but I don't really love that either, and I felt similarly here.

5. Oriolus Mochacino: ok, I'll get it's name right sooner or later. @Rockwell75 was really enjoying this, and I usually like what he does. But this didn't wow me. Nothing was wrong, but I wasn't getting the chills.

6. Nostalgia Camelot: after hearing great things, had to try. And I must concur, this is a fun, ballsy, but super resolving sound that got addictive and provided some chills. I would want some more time on this, really impressed.

7. Anni 23: Chills, goosebumps, if no one was around, possible tears. Wowee, I love this. Close to perfection and something I'll hopefully own.

8. Cayin N30: A beautiful cayin beast which seems like an N8ii on roids. So was the sound and especially the bass...i get why folks are liking this!

Phew...it's a bit overwhelming, but pure fun especially when you are sharing it with fun, like-minded folks! Thanks @HiFiHawaii808, @warrenpchi and @Rockwell75 for the guidance so far!

Edit: forgot to actually mention another goosebump inducer, the Aroma Fei Wan which is another mind blower of an iem.

I need a second job.

Thank you for the feedback I just got them today and I was expecting it to be terrible based on all the big YouTube reviews out there and holy smokes was I surprised 😯 I can see why people wouldn’t like fourte but damn they are impressive to say the least.

I also rate Fourte OG over noir, but a sliver under Fourte Blanc.

Though the OG is still the most “clear” sounding with its more accentuated highs

Any new mini portables at canjam anyone? Maybe a ifi go blu v2 or something like that? We all love our big, super daps but a little mini portable for the gym is just as important to me :) lmk

As a first time 64Audio listener, CJ Socal brought me up to date. U12t deserves all its accolades as a trailblazer in the all BA TOTL because, seriously, there's nothing wrong with it. I had the chance to listen to U6t, U12t, Fourte Noir and the new Volur (which is captivating). Volur was my favorite of that bunch! Fir is influencing that difference I think!

This is exactly what happened to me when I heard it at Canjam London. It literally blew me away and gave one of the biggest Wow moments I’ve ever had in this hobby.

Can we get more impressions on the Fei Wan when you get a chance, especially in regards to its bass impact / extension as well as spaciousness? @emdeevee @Rockwell75

Was going to be a blind buy but awaiting CJ impressions 🙂

Wonderful SoCal updates! 🥰 dropping some photos on Prestige Ragnar… I’m tolerating this fit-wise better than Ragnar OG (metal housing). I’ve missed Ragnar’s sound so much, am truly glad I plunged into this purchase. Thankful to Albert who helped me in choosing this faceplate - I think it’s one of the most unique fp designs, in terms of translucency and almost cameleon-like effect, depending on the type of light conditions :)
