Anyone got a chance to compare CFA Supermoon and Audeze Euclid? These seem to be TOTL planar IEMs at the moment with the only other alternatives to be Chifi planars (Timeless, S12, etc. with a 2D soundstage as per reviews). The Supermoon just had a price drop and is now even the cheaper of the two. From reviews, Euclid seems to have the best driver, however Supermoon seems to have a better tuning in stock.
Saw a few people here with the Supermoon, but the Euclid seems to be not disliked but simply ignored, as if it does not exist. Curious for what the reason is.
I can say from my talks with other people that you will later be glad to have had all this time with them enjoy it while it lasts, even though it is tough.
Amber Pearl in the house. Had to waste 2h yesterday in customs to get this before the weekend because of DHL shenanigans. Who’s interested in measurements?
Just got this old news (but still great "news") to demo. So I decided to also take my "old" lady Layla's out.
This tiny cute thing is nothing to ignore if you favour the sound and don't mind the "dongly" thing.
It sounds quite detailed and technical for size and compared to other dongles I had. Trying face to face with ifi GoBlu (wired), it sounds noticeable more technical and detailed. Still keeping a smooth presentation, not thinny like BTR5.
This new CD player from Shanling will absolutely be mine once available. No info yet on DAC or amp (at least that I’ve seen) but I note a 4.4mm and 3.5mm, unlike the recent Moondrop that was announced and minus a 4.4mm. It specifies battery powered and ‘transportable’ so yet another great way to listen to CDs with IEMs and in this case move about the house - I love the idea of playing an album that way in bed or at my desk. My journey lately definitely going more old school!
